My previous video on this has been seen over 50k times.. which, even though that's over 4 long years, is quite a surprise as I thought it was a bit of a niche product. It seems it's become a bit of a go-to for understanding how to get the most out of this unit, as most others just show complete distorted mayhem... I say 'just' but its rather nice as well :O

Apparently the Filterbank got a bit of an update in late 2018... who knew? which seems to have gone unnoticed. Any serial number over 7786 has got some added functionality:

1. internal noise and feedback circuits

2. range extension in harmonic mode

3. extra envelope with position

So.. here's a video explaining what it all does. I also link 2 units and take a look at MIDI and tracking.

It's also got a pretty nice little track I made using the Filterbank as the only sound source (except for the drums)

Sherman Filterbank Extra functions: Demo and Walkthrough

The filter banks new functionality allows it to be used as a sound source with internal noise and feedback circuits. You can now make a basic oscillator and FX standalone. Filter 2 now works in Harmonic Mode, changing the harmonic ratios and the envelope has a new switch position.
