Here's a preview of how the 3D comic sets look with my post processing! They're taking a bit longer than I expected, and as you can see there are some items that are placeholder and need to be replaced. (most things that have a plain white texture) I'm only a few days away from being complete enough to start working on sketches though. Thanks for your patience while I get these things in order, and thank you tasauric for your help on many props and pieces of furniture featured in these scenes.

I'm heading up to Oregon to visit family this wednesday and will be back in about a week, so expect a sketch stream around the 29th or so. I'll do my best to post sketches while on vacation and to work on the reindeer pic.

Please let me know what you think of the renders!

Awesome! Can't wait for this to get started!

Whew, so much work to start this thing! I have no leeway to photobash either like I did with the zoot comic. It’ll be worth it in the end though

I think they look amazing!

Love the style of the set you made. I cannot wait until you use this scene for the comic!

Things like the bottles being slightly off centre is what makes these settings much easier to accept visually

Awesome *0* but can i ask you à question ? What software do you use for your 3d creations? And is it hard to use when you are a beginner?

zaush

I usually use Blender for my 3D work, then render in Renderman. I'd say it's pretty daunting initially to get into 3D, but the payoff of learning it is immensely useful. Highly recommended for comics and illustrations that involve any kind of architecture, especially repeating backgrounds.

wow , you learned alone or you took classes ^^ ?
