2020 Collaborations Part One (Patreon)

I'm collaborating with Alternative Motion Project this spring on their ninth season, in a piece that will premiere in their ninth season this March.

With my home-time so focused on family, it's so phenomenal to leave weekly and work with dancers who are so invested and interested in the work. My contribution will be in the form of spoken word. I've only been to two rehearsals and already I'm enjoying the process and the dancers.

I'm working tonight on finding the right background music to accompany the piece I'm working on. For the first time in a while, the writing won't be science fiction, and that's strangely challenging in terms of finding the right sounds. I'm looking for something extra chill and meditative, that gets a driving beat partway through, and maybe even becomes the opposite of chill.... I've been listening to Noveller, Atticus Ross, Trent Reznor, and Boards of Canada... do you have any favorite tracks or artists I should look into?
