Love the new artwork behind "Get Warped". I see Paula has 3 pips and Kat has 2... but a tea bag? Really? Not brewed?

Keith Goodnight

In his resentment, Hugh overlooks the fact that before sending him back, they asked him "What do YOU want to do?" and he decided he had to go back. The Gals noted Riker's dismissal of Hugh's complaint, and I'd say the writers missed a beat by not having Riker point that out.

Neil McRae

"The Orville" is a truly great sci-fi series. Much like TNG, it took a while to find its voice, but it did.

Makhiel

Ooh, nice new graphic!

I think Riker's reaction is legit. The Borg assimilated entire civilisations. Killed thousands of his colleagues, used his captain as a puppet for genocide basically. And they still threaten to destroy all humanity. They chose not to send him back with a virus as he was an individual now. Offered him asylum. He chose (admirably) to go back. Just because he had a tough time of it, doesn't mean Riker should feel any sympathy for them as he would have major trauma's given the first mentioned.

You can extend the season by sprinkling in some TOS in-between. U only have about 5 good TOS episodes left. Also, DO NOT watch the "new" Trek stuff. It has none of what makes Trek...TREK. Dont watch it ESPECIALLY if u want this to be where u leave 'Hugh'. Someone mentioned it already but Cpt. Crusher's tactical lieutenant also played the alien that faked his death to discredit the Ferengi scientist who invented that shielding for the sun.

Brian Hakala

Glad you’re both back with TNG! Excited to watch the last season with you

Brett Delbridge

I would have thought they’d transport the surviving Borg to a medical facility where they could have most of their implants removed.

Bruce Bromley

I do believe they can form their own opinions on the current Trek offerings. All your are saying is it's not Trek the way YOU want it. Wasn't the episode we just watched about needing to work it out ourselves and not to follow anybody?

Chris Lane- Venturi 3D

The Lieutenant guy looks like he would make a perfect Kardassian, I wonder if he ever played one

Matthew Zeidman

Loving the new caricatures of Paula and Kat. Paula’s looks very Dr.-Crusher-inspired, despite the red uniform, and Kat’s looks fierce. I wonder why Paula switched from the blue science/medical uniform to the command uniform. Kat, you like the Fifth Element? It’s my favorite movie. Although not the focus of the episode, as it was briefly mentioned in-dialogue, I always have to bring up that Data’s quest to “become human” is misguided. His existence at no point in the series is inferior to that of his human friends/colleagues. He is a unique, sentient being and should embrace that fact. He can grow as an individual (as we all do) without trying to fit into some kind of arbitrary template of perfection or normality.

Nolan

Not a lot to say about this episode. It's got great stuff for Crusher, but as both a season finale and opener, it's not the strongest 2-parter. Pretty equal with Time's Arrow, but that juuust gets the edge because of time travel. I do think the resolution was fairly quick. One minute it's a big Borg melee (they have weapons but don't use them? Yes, budget) the next everything is settled. Oh well. Also, Fuck Star Trek: Picard. For like, a lot of reasons. I dunno what idiot thought taking Star Trek and running it through a Micheal Bay Transformers movie scripting process was a genius move, but it certainly isn't my cup of Earl fucking Grey tea.

Regarding the prime directive vis a vis the Borg Collective, the concern about non-interference in their internal affairs doesn't really apply as they're essentially in a state of war with the Federation. If this wasn't the case, then yeah sending Hugh back with any sort of invasive program would've been a clear violation.

Ben Chan

I respectfully disagree. To me it seems like it just cribbed TNG's voice but without updating it for the 21st century. But I'll refrain from details since this is about TNG.

Adam Brown

Still embodies Star Trek more than the current dreck of the JJ Abram's movies, Discovery, and Picard.
