I hope you do watch Korra as it is worth it!

MrEvers

Are you going into Korra directly, or maybe review some of the comics first?

If you're seeing a bunch of people telling screaming not to watch Korra, don't listen to them. For some reason there's swaths of people that are super crazy hardcore vicious about this. Like, freakin cultists, goddamn near frothing at the mouth. No-one thinks it's as good as airbender, but it's still mostly great, definitely worth watching. Those dudes are nuts.

The Legend of Korra is a perfectly fine show and I would suggest that anyone who enjoyed The Last Airbender at least watch the first few episodes. I don’t think Korra is a very good sequel to AtLA largely because some of the lore and world building in Korra directly contradicts the lore and world building in AtLA. This is mostly because Korra has some interesting and cool ideas that it wants to incorporate but can’t unless it retcons stuff we learned in AtLA. Korra is consistent within itself it’s just not consistent with AtLA and some people really don’t like that. I’d say Legend of Korra has a few other issues as well but that’s mostly a preference in writing and some of it is definitely due to network shenanigans. So if you don’t notice or care about the lore inconsistencies then watch Legend of Korra you’ll probably like it, if you think you will notice and care about the lore inconsistencies then still give the first few episodes a shot and then make up your mind.

Honestly I feel like people need to stop just expecting channels to do what they suggest anyway. I mean the fact that for the most part people actually need to say we're going to do what we want, just because there's this insane expectation that we have some ultimate say in what they're going to do. Besides that little rant I loved the reaction, first one I'm commenting on and agree with Paula, love this episode, it's a nice little break from the emotional and action packed scenes and a fun little recap, told in a believable way and not through insane flashback filled episodes as in some shows. Looking forward to watching the rest :)

You are actually wrong. There are no inconsistencies. If you think about it, there are retcons, but none contradict any pre established lore or ruin either show. Watch this video it explains everything in great detail. https://youtu.be/s7P9qTdVnMY
