Greetings Adventures,

Welcome once again to this month's summary of activities. As we all know, the Kobolds work tirelessly to add new features, improve the modules, and provide essential frontline support. Let's see what their toils have bought us this month...

What have the interns been up to?

This month, much energy has been placed into Tokenizer, bringing some great features and enhancements.

  • Tokenizer will load the frames provided by the [Token Frame](https://foundryvtt.com/packages/token-frames) module by default into the Tokenizer frame selector if the module is active. You can disable this in the Tokenizer settings.


  • You can now flip/mirror images in Tokenizer.


  • By default, Tokenizer will now offset an image by a few pixels to get more of it into the frame. You can change this in the settings.


  • Colour tinting is now specific to colour layers.


  • Opacity can now be adjusted per layer.


  • Image resolution should be better respected when zooming into a placed image layer.


  • Reworking the mask detection system to use Bresenhams line algorithm should improve most masks, especially complex ones. You can switch back to the old algorithm in the settings.


DDB Importer has seen several effect improvements and the addition of support for the Item Collections module (https://foundryvtt.com/packages/itemcollection). This will map your use of containers on DDB to Containers in Foundry for character imports and updates.

Condensed changelog of other changes and fixes

Effects:

  • The Divine Smite generated spell will now have activation conditions set to roll other damage, if using midi qol.


  • Some items will now have restrictions applied to help with damage detection. This is the first pass, and some weapons require additional work. Currently supported: Wounding, Life Stealing.


  • Thunder Step and Word of Radiance will no longer damage self if using Midi-QoL.


  • Ray of Frost Midi-QoL effect now expires.


  • Uncanny Dodge now expires after damage.


  • Spell Effects: Aura of Life, Branding Smite and Thunderous Smite,


  • Feature Effects: Fighting Style: Interception. Defensive Duelist. Indomitable. Blessed Healer.


  • Monk Quickened Healing fixes.


  • Uncanny Dodge needed tweaking.


  • Some instances of effects that "add" would require a + before the effect value to calculate correctly if multiple bonuses are applied.


  • Barbarian Rage damage would apply to self if processing with scale values.


Monsters:

  • Midi-QOL effects on monsters will now generate Legendary Resistance effect.


  • Option when monster munching to append "(Legacy)" to legacy monster names.


  • New bulk mode monster import mechanism to try and improve speed, optional.


  • Some monster updates did not work with certain midi-effects.


Characters:

  • Override AC had stopped working in newer 5e system versions.


  • Updating characters on DDB could fail if racial traits had been munched with the old format into a compendium.


  • Combat Superiority Dice parsing was broken when using Scale Values/Advancements in v1.6.* of D&D 5e.


  • Import: You can now choose to keep current spell slots during import


  • Import: when a character fails to import, the importer will now try to restore the original actor.


Muncher:

  • When importing classes into compendiums with existing items, the import could fail.


Other:

  • Option to reset the tokens and avatars to DDB Defaults in Tools section.


  • Small UI tweaks.


  • Fix broken icon link for Assassin's Infiltration Expertise.


  • Support for adding class name to "Multiclass Spellbook filter for 5e" module and retaining existing changes.


  • Remove dependency on About Time.


  • Fixed a potential race condition in Compendium Folders creation.


  • Item Containers Support. Requires Item Containers/Collections module by @tposney. When importing, you can select to place items in containers on DDB into containers in Foundry.


  • Source filter was not enabled unless you were a patreon supporter (unintended).


  • Hidden option to disable update notification is now visible in module settings. (Most requested feature ever?).


  • Some improvements to DDB tag replacement parsing for magic items.


  • Some improvements to aid in debug logging.


Adventure Muncher

  • THSoT pins had failed to parse due to data change.


  • Try and improve corrupted EOF downloads on some systems.


Foundry v10 Support Update

Background work continues on support for v10. The latest developer preview has ironed out most of the bugs, and most major features are working (support for effects is not yet complete). I hope to get an Alpha out to higher-tier supporters this month if they wish to try.

What are the kobolds planning for this month?

  • More work for Foundry v10 support.


  • Improve Background Munching to split out Features and Backgrounds.


  • Investigating ways to improve extra generation for Alchemist, Ranger and Summoned creature stats.

Thanks for the update! Question, though... Is it possible to also make the Tokenizer work automatically with the frames in JB2A's stuff? :) Edit: Never mind, I just didn't pay attention before to the fact that it already does! Sorry about that.

So what is the process to get rage to automatically generate the effect to add the 2 damage? Just 2or so days ago I had completely imported everything and a character with rage but when attempting to use rage it doesn't apply the damage for attacks

You mention a Containers module. Where do we get this module? I do not see it listed on The Forge.
