Patreon Tier Update (Patreon)

Going into the insane month of K-Pop releases that will be October, I have reworked several aspects of this Patreon which I will explain in detail in this post. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me and I will be happy to listen to your opinion.

First, the bad news:

1) Although I previously announced this was coming, the $4 Tier has officially lost voting on Weekly Live Stages as I can no longer support this perk at this time. If you want to read a more detailed explanation of this change, you can read here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/40013393

2) Starting today, I will be moving charging Patrons "Up Front" meaning that new Patrons will be  charged ON THE DAY they first pledge, AND on the 1st of every subsequent  month. This means that if you pledge to support me for $10 on the 30th of October, you WILL be charged $10 again on the 1st of November.

Why would I make this change?

Patreon currently offers two options to creators regarding when to charge monthly subscriptions, and neither of them are ideal. What I have been doing until this month is instantly offering content for free to anyone who pledges to support me in the following month. I was happy to offer the content in good faith that everyone pledging would follow through.

Unfortunately, a group of people have begun abusing this to constantly pledge support, watch Patreon exclusive videos for free, then cancel their pledge before they ever pay for the content. 

Patreon currently lacks the option for every Patron to be charged 30 days after their initial pledge, in the same way that services like Netflix offer for monthly subscriptions. This leaves me with a choice between letting my exclusive content be stolen and charging you on the 1st of every month, regardless of when you pledged. Obviously this means that if you are going to pledge support, or increase your pledge, it is best to wait for the very beginning of a new month to maximize value. Thank you for being understanding of this weird situation.

The following perks have been added to the $4 'Guardian' Tier:

-Album Reactions (I can't promise every album, but often when I react to a newly released MV I will post the album reaction here)

-K-Pop Competition Reactions (GOOD GIRL, Road to Kingdom, PD48, Nizi Project)

-Weekly K-Drama Reactions (Currently watching Vagabond)

-Weekly Anime Reactions (Currently watching Tower of God)

-Stage Stream Recordings (I watch a ton of stages live on Twitch, but this is the only place to watch those reactions after they air)

Obviously some of those benefits were already available, but now it is very clear what exactly you  have access to at various  tiers of support.
