FreshOS: Requesting Feedback (Patreon)

I would like to release the theme either in the next version or the one after the next version, so I'd love to know what you think of it so far.

  • Do you think its ready for release?
  • Do you spot any issues?*
  • Would you do anything differently?

*not all issues are fixable, they might be just the nature of rockbox

Its ready. Even if there are some bugs its miles better than any of the other options

I've spotted an issue where the track database has to be reinitialized after playing a track from it. Tried it on other skins, and it only happens in FreshOS.

Does it clear up on restart? And which model iPod do you have?

Hm. Just reinstalled both FreshOS and Rockbox, and the issue just went away. Strange.

Maybe hmm. I did see this issue pop up too, It could be the iPod running out of RAM (running the same pod as you)

Also, another question. Is it just me, or does FreshOS take significantly longer to boot than other themes? I used to run InfoMatrix (hats off to you btw for making my favorite theme, aside from FreshOS), and rockbox would boot in 10 seconds or less. Now it boots up in about 30-45 seconds. Not really an issue, just wondering if I'm doing something wrong here.

I mean, this theme uses a crazy amount of images in comparison. It's loading like 4x 1040 px concurrently, I'm very surprised the iPod can handle it though it's probably on the edge of struggling with it's 32mb ram haaa

1. Absolutely! 2. Well, audio sometimes lags out when running plugins along with music. Also, I can't seem to play video at all, and music won't play without headphones. Oh, and the "database" option on the menu seems to ignore the audio files that I've transfered via USB. Might just be a Rockbox or hardware issue though. 3. No, not really.

Thanks enigmatch! 2. Sometimes the audio can cut out when the iPod is under stress and is trying to figure something out... Rockbox doesn't support the video decoder coprocessor yet, so doesn't support video formats for now. Hold select on the database to check if the scan includes your folders!

Thank you for all the efforts you're doing for the updates. I would really appreciate if you consider to put Korean characters in your next update.
