Tbh bro I would have preferred the side story after the main jus due to flow. Like who decided to put Itachi’s backstory right in the middle of the biggest power up flex. Like I mean yeah I wanted it but now? The timing just felt weird. Edit: to clarify I mean the actual show order not his reaction order. As long as he watches all of canon I’m good

No they needed to add it for Sasuke‘s character development, he got to see Itachi’s suffering, thoughts, and memories, powerful things for him to see and experience, he’s a main character so I don’t need to explain why that’s important
