Adjusting the Contest. (Patreon)

I hear your complaints about the fairness of the contest and I have talked with friends and fellow patrons in order to adjust the First comment first serve contest again. To try to make it fairer. These are the ideas we have come up with.  

 Keep in mind this contest idea is still in the early stages and will be adjusted to help improve people's chances.  

Please, don't suggest I do a R*ffle or anything similar to it. Patreon will only allow a First Comment First serve contest. Please respect that.

 ❤️ Instead of the first comment being the winner the actual winner will now be changed to The LAST Comment gets it. This should help those that may be concerned about having a slower internet and reaction time

How it works: When the contest goes live Patreons will have 5 minutes to comment, and the last comment under 5 minutes wins. The contest will now work based on Patreon time stamps. For example;  ( If you comment at 4 minutes and 999 milliseconds, you win, but at the next millisecond, you would lose.)  


Please, try not to spam your comments. It's pointless to spam them too early anyway. Just wait till it gets closer to the end time before posting. 

People with slower internet should have a better chance now and time to prepare for when the contest actually goes live. 

 ❤️  Contest tiers will  NOW be spread throughout the First week of the month with randomized times. So that people in different times zones have a better chance to win. (Announcement of date and actual time will still go up one week before the contest week starts.)

Things That will remain the same: 

 💚Patreons are allowed to comment multiple times in order to boost themselves. (Comment doesn't have to have any words you can use single letters or numbers.)  

💚 Each month the time zones will be rotated for each tier.  -Example: If the sketch tier falls on a PM (ET) the next month it will fall on an AM (ET)

💚 People can only win the contest once before being suspended from the contest in the following month  -Example: If you win the Sketch Tier you can’t enter to win any of the other tiers the following month.

One Patreon I support handles it with a simple vote by the patrons. Patrons submits one idea, the idea gets summarized and anonymized, then everyone votes for the one (or more) that interests them. So far that has worked without complaint.

Oh that was my idea! Thank you very much for actually doing it and listening to your patreons that is very much appreciated. Also I apologise for my rudeness and complaints over your contest.

Seems like a better one, instead of the first come first serve where you think you are the first, put something in, and it turns out that that you were the 5th entry after a second or 2. It could be a mixture of first, X place, and last place with the alternating time zones as well
