Makes you think how strong the impostor was holding of yamamoto for so long. Also you will propably do this anyway but check out the ending for episode 7

I have a feeling the next episode is gonna be uploaded soon this week lol Also: to make it absolutely clear: the name of the king is "Yhwach" Pronounced as "Yu-ha-ba-ha", or just "Yuha" for short. I'm going to have to wait until this is up on YT before I explain how you get that pronunciation from that combination of letters though: This is without question the most complex name in the series, so it's going to need a lot of words.

He used north. Zanka no tachi north, tenchi kaigin at 19:28

Old Man Y was blinded by rage. It was his failure a 1000 years ago that Yuhabaha didn't die. Now that enemy has returned and his lieutenant, his most loyal follower aswell as thousands of Soul Reapers had to pay the prize. The Quincy King is smart, he knew that their hatred for one another would blind Old Man Y enough for him to carry out his plans in the meantime. Also, the Sternritter could not just change appearance, he also gains the memories and personality of the one he copies. So except for a strength difference there was 0 reason for Yama to notice the impostor. And Yama was to arrogant, trying to torture the fake with South for example, to pay attention to this detail. Had he just went for the kill immediately would have noticed way sooner.

Jeremy Carter

Fun fact, his name comes from the name Yahweh (ya-haway), which is the true name of Jesus in Jewish. But pronunced in German it’s yu-ha-bak/yu-ha-ba-ha

Mike G. M.

Well: you're half right~ But like I said: thats for Youtube comments lol

Lucky you should watch episode 12-13 at same time. That’s how they broadcasted it and how we all experienced the final two episodes of the first cour. By the way, the flames surrounding Yama (Zanka no Tachi West being a cloak made of fire with 15 million degrees) have already been there, reason why Yhwach‘s sword evaporated once he tried slashing him. Yama just didn’t make it visible yet at that point to him. Also our man is not magma/lava, he is literally engulfed by the sun as he said lol.

Sneedlord9000

In the manga the Old Man says he thinks they couldn't steal the Strawberry's power because he was so underdeveloped and new. Which of course isn't true since at the end of the episode Yhwach says he's wrong about needing to know the power of the bankai

Such a good season

bro my man wake a edo tensie 😂🔥

Yama was supposed to finish it as fast as possible. The fact that he decided to take a coffee break while his southerner skulls torment his opponent ☠️

The anime skips over this info for some reason, but there are actually 2 Sternritter Y's, twin brothers with the same schrift, "Yourself". One of them was killed by Kenny (Lloyd Royd), their ability lets them copy a persons power. The one the Old Man was fighting (Royd Lloyd) mimics memories and mental faculties, hence why he's able to play the role of Quincy King so well. Royd is also just a freaking strong Sternritter, seen by how he was able to body Kenpachi. As for why the Old Man was tricked, firstly, it's been well established that he can be unreasonably hot-headed and act irrationally depending on the situation. Secondly, the Wandenreich has been specifically attacking him psychologically. First by killing his Lieutenant, then by attacking him with his stolen Bankai. This, combined with the mass casualties the Soul Society has suffered has the Old Man acting completely on emotion. He's fueled by anger. He WANTS the Quincy King to suffer. He could have ended the fight using only the East and West abilities of Zanka no Tachi, but he uses South just to flex and attack HIM psychologically. He taunts him far too much, even walking away from him and telling him to get to him by stepping on the skeletons of his former men. The Old Man lost because he was in his feelings and spent too much power just BMing a clone.

Stephen Brooks

?Huh? The Old man beat the one he was fighting. He then lost when the real Quincy King took his bankai. He lost because he lost his bankai to the real and more powerful one, not because he killed the fake one... ?huh? But sure there was psychological manipulation on both sides, I agree with that.

1. I agree with everything you've said, Polygon. 2. I think Lucky wants us to not mention the names of anything related to the reactions so that his channel stays on Patreon. We are to use code names or refer to the characters without mentioning their actual names.

gggoos

It's not mandatory to watch it like this just watch it however you want to regardless that they were broadcasted at the same time.

Jeremy Carter

It was either Hebrew or Jewish. But it was definitely Jesus for another reason but it’s a spoiler

SirAuron

Of course not, but he always says he wants to watch Bleach like we did. Also there’s a problem with his schedule of 1 episode a week and 2 the next. Because with the count of 13 episodes it doesn’t work fully, in the end he will have to decide if he will gives us two weeks of only 1 episodes or 2 episodes. And why not then watch both final episodes as they were broadcasted, instead of two weeks with only single episode each. Another reason i suggested this. Of course Lucky will decide what’s best for him.

Polygon

@Stephen Please reread my post again. I'm referencing why Old Man was TRICKED by the body double. Because he fell for the trick, he used a ton of power flexing on the fake instead of just finishing the fight quickly.
