My thoughts still: I still feel like Minato didn't need to die. He really didn't. But I guess one can say he really is a DEAD-beat dad. (Minato is one of my favorite characters btw, don't kill me for this joke lol) If u remembered back when Minato helped Naruto, Minato did say that the third wanted to protect Naruto. Minato had a lot of enemies (I mean who wouldn't especially if you are that strong) and Naruto was a young defenseless boy so if any enemies knew that Minato had a son, they would go after him. Don't forget that the nine tale fox was sealed in Naruto so if any outsiders knew that Naruto had that in him, they would snatch him in a heartbeat and do whatever they wanted. Third Hokage also made it a decree to never let Naruto know he is the nine tale fox demon nor talk about it. Even though most of the villagers were willing to follow this decree, those who suffered severely from the nine tail fox couldn't get pass their hatred for Naruto (flashback to OG Naruto ep 2 where Hiruzen talked about Naruto actually being a hero but the village still refuses to acknowledge that) Also, Naruto takes his mother's last name instead of his dad becuz the uzumakis are no longer known so I guess that was also another low-key thing to do since once again, minato namikaze has many enemies. Overall, Hiruzen did his best to look over Naruto even tho it was still a shitty upbringing for Naruto. Hiruzen didn't want this to happen to Naruto but he can't stop it either and maybe it was better for Naruto to be known as the outcast rather than being the target of any enemies. Sure Hiruzen is Hokage but a Hokage is still just one person can't always focus on an individual all the time. There is still an entire village and outside affairs to worry about too. Just thought I could point these things out now that we finally got the full truth of what happened.
