I liked how they portrayed minato's fighting style to be very fast and efficient, he doesn't prolong the fight, he analyzes his opponent in 1 or 2 attacks then strikes unlike naruto LOL I like to think of him as like a real ninja; to eliminate your foe quickly

Minato was the best student in whole history on written chunin exam. Itachi was the second one. So Minato is smarter than Itachi.

It seems to me that Itachi is still smarter than Minato, the written test is not some kind of indicator, which was said once. Plus, it's hard to imagine that both of them didn't get the maximum there.
