Wrapped my hotel shoot with Jordan last week and damn was it a cool room. I'll save my blabbing for those sets when they drop but, as a Vegas kid, it felt great being back in a casino.

This room probably looks familiar, as it was the star of the hit photoset titled "Heather does the ass splits", but I gotta share what I did with Jordan in here too!

So first, I knew that I'd have to contend with her really long legs, so I popped on the 35mm Rokinon and it gave me JUST enough fov to got those sprawling shots. I'm actually thinking of selling this lens and instead getting a slightly wider 28mm and compliment it with a 40mm for slightly tighter shots, but sets like this make me appreciate what it can do.

35mm Rokinon is pretty sharp though and f1.4 right? I have the 85mm, 14mm, 12mm and 8mm Samyang/Rokinon and really like them. Value for the money can't be beat. I have a Pentax K1 so no 35mm for me unless I can find it from a reputable store used

It can be sharp, but it sometimes slips when you're anywhere in the 1.4-1.8 range. It's a great lens, but I only tend to reach for it when I need something wider, and not necessarily because I want its characteristics. I have a canon 28 1.8, and I'm borrowing my buddy's 40 and 45, I just need to get some shoots going so I can test them out and see if I like those focal lengths more vs the 35. I should note that together they are still smaller than the rokinon, which is HUGE lol. Ultimately I'm thinking my kit will look like this: Sigma 16mm 1.4 - extreme characteristics XXXX 28mm - tbd XXXX 40mm - tbd Canon 50mm 1.4 FD - authentic retro look Sony 55mm 1.8 - reliable autofocus lol Canon 85mm 1.8 - the legend
