If you follow me on social media, you may have seen that I started the scientist research storyline in Part 4. For my patrons, I am going to show you one of the key parts of that storyline – picking a research assistant.

In the first ZE, Candace became your assistant. However, I wanted to give you the choice in Safe Haven. I'm interested in who you will all pick. Of course, some of these people may not be in your group, but I'm including the full list.

---

As you glance around the makeshift laboratory, potential assistants in your crucial research spring to mind. You could use a helping hand, but the decision isn't easy. Each candidate brings their own blend of skills and flaws.

August, one of the recent additions to your ragtag group, stands out first. He's a beacon of enthusiasm, but you can't help but question the durability of his work ethic. He's untested in this harsh new world. Still, he touts a basic science understanding from high school, and his optimism might be the morale booster your research needs.

Fred isn't steeped in scientific methodology, but he knows his way around an engine, and he's taken a smattering of science courses—albeit a decade and a half ago. His work ethic is commendable, but can he keep pace with your discoveries?

Then there's Jaime. His intelligence shines through in every conversation you've had with him. He's familiar with scientific principles through his college studies and carries a great attitude. But his prominent role in the group may split his attention.

Kelly's a strong contender. Her smarts and industrious nature are known to all at the junkyard, and she's dabbled in science at the collegiate level. But her fiery nature, although mellowing recently, could lead to unnecessary conflicts.

Madison is intriguing. She was knee-deep in high school before the outbreak but excelled in advanced placement biology, chemistry, and physics. Her raw intelligence and quick wit could prove invaluable. Yet, her stubbornness and lax work ethic could throw a wrench in your progress.

Lastly, Parker enters your mind. With a Master's degree in museum studies, he boasts substantial science exposure. He once simplified complex experiments for young minds to grasp. He's collaborative, ego-free, and likable, but his heavy load of duties around the junkyard might leave him short on time.

As you weigh the options, each potential assistant comes with both promise and risk. Your decision now could shape the trajectory of your research, and perhaps even the future of your survival.

Madison, just in case I get to use her as a guinea pig.

This is like pick your poison! But gotta be Madison, She has an interest in computer science and if you get the laptop from Safe haven it's like basic maths 1 + 1 = 3.

I was stuck between August and Madi 😭😭 but August would be good for the construction squad for morale, gotta take it for the team

Madison is winning. Shocking.
