Friends, I’m looking for some help. My home office saga has been a long one, but I’m finally ready to push through and make this space what it should be. I’ve struggled with indecisiveness which has stalled any real progress here for some time, and I share more in this video about where I feel that stems from. Even just making this video and talking it out has helped me so much already, but I truly would love your input and ideas if you care to share. Let’s do some stuff! As always, would love to know what projects you’re working on/stalling on/have already conquered if you care to share ❤️

If moving furniture etc is too much to deal with just yet, frame an 8x10 cute photo of you and Blue on one of your many adventures and get it up on the wall. You can always move it later or perhaps add to it. I’ve spent so much of my life with mental blocks when it comes to my own personal space so I know how it can be. I’ve made sure my husband and sons had their personal spaces but I get stuck even making time to do art projects that I long to do. My studio is so messy with stacks of things to have fun with some day. I think your medal wall is great, just gonna take time to get it all up like you would like. Maybe someday you could paint your room a happier color, it doesn’t have to be bright just something a little more uplifting than the kind of depressing color you have on them now. Even white may be an option. I love the suggestions of the bookcase with your binders because I think you need visual height instead of the “around the room” same furniture size and weight. What you have in there now gives the feeling it is just a temporary office and doesn’t show your fun-loving personality. Surround yourself with things you love and whatever puts a smile on your face hang it up or set it out where you can enjoy it and it sparks creativity. I love perusing antique malls because you never know what you may find that brings in a whole other side of your personality and usually for hardly any cost. Sorry for this haphazardly written comment 😬 I just really want to see you make some tiny steps to bring on the momentum that you need. Love you Jen💖

I'm always the one trailing behind, catching up... Really enjoyed hearing your perspective on how your priorities were reflected in your "room of one's own". I don't imagine you actually doing this, so it's not a legit suggestion - but I'd love to see you commit to color. There's nothing more constant than change and nothing more changeable than paint. Boho it up with a mosaic or knick knacks from your journeys. Keep recent memories in sight so that you can remind yourself that you aren't where you've been. And if you want folks to share about their own hang ups... Well, I could never sit with my back to the door. Nope, not even in my own home - so there's a bit of psychology for you. Can't wait to see what you decide to do. Best of everything!
