March Live Reminder & Info (Patreon)

Hello, wonderers! Thank you for your patience with me today as I've been testing out the livestream situation to be ready for tomorrow. It's not quite as smooth of an integration as I had hoped. I can embed the Vimeo livestream on Patreon, but the live chat feature does not show up here. In order to access it, you have to click over through the video itself from the live on Patreon to the Vimeo platform where you can then engage in the chat. I don't love this, however, because it's basically the same as hosting an unlisted live on YouTube and just anyone with the link can pop on. I was hoping for something more integrated that we could live chat with on Patreon itself but I am learning that is not currently an option (hope it is one day, though!).

I'm thinking of trying out Crowdcast which requires you to login through your Patreon account to access the event. This doesn't cost anything to you, but it does require an extra step of clicking through to the linked event and logging in (which from my end looks pretty straightforward and takes just about as much time to navigate as it would to access the live chat on a Vimeo hosted livestream, but I just don't know how that translates to each of you in your individual circumstances. I do appreciate that it ensures only active members of the WWC can attend the livestream.

Regardless of what direction I take, I will put up the livestream post by midday tomorrow so there is ample time to sign on and be ready for the 2 PM central event. And I will still be able to record and save the livestream and post it here for anyone who misses out no matter what live-streaming service I use. We can always try something else if we don't love what I go with tomorrow.
