Hey lads. It's time I made an official statement on this.

Most of you probably know that a new model line has been released. I will not put any links here - those of you who wanted to try it out already unpledged, and I value that input. However the most common question I hear - will I drop my own line if theirs is so much better?

The answer is - no and no.

I have put effort in this anthro body. I still believe there is none that is better. Yes, it does have faults, most of which I realized only recently, but theirs has too. The most common public opinion right now is that the two model lines are on par.

Let me clarify something. NexGen model line was made by a bunch of people, each doing their own thing. Some worked jost to do a good did, some - to learn a few things, some - out of spite and hatred for me. My model line is being developed by one man alone. Me.

Everything you see in my body has been created solo. And as you can see, I don't need 20 people to make the best thing. I am not going to give up on developing the ReVAmped Anthro, and Feral, lines, but I'm taking a new approach.

My body lacks in proportions, secondary features and characters. Their body is not user friendly, is reliant on 3rd party sources and requires more than average SFM skills to use. Thus, I know what to do to make my line unparalleled again.

This month will be dedicated to fixing the issues above and those that I know of. This is the most important step, since I want my body be worth the money. Then, I will be focusing more on furry stuff, since furry market is less hostile and honestly, needs some cool ass bodies. And then, I will be remaking MLP assets currently present in ReVAmped Legacy line. They are outdated, look way worse than the manes/tails I usually make (take Shimmer for example) and besides, the pack needs a touch more exclusivity. I am also tweaking my custom pony head, because it is to be my main head for pony stuff when on October 10, on my birthday, the ReVAmped legacy line with common assets goes FREE.

Even though it may sound like I'm almost defeated, the release of NexGen was like an anchor off my shoulders. The feeling of impending doom I had throughout their development is gone, I feel relieved and have been very productive over the past week. I am sure I will make it through.

Peace.

As you've implied, both your models and the nexgen models have their benefits, and what they differ in gives them their own unique value. Personally, I think both model lines are worth paying for, and I'm actually astonished that nexgen was released for free to the public. As real as the competition is, I think that nexgen being free works in your favor, since if nexgen required purchase, then people would be presented with a dilemma to either pay for you models or nexgen (assuming they have to choose one set). As a result, you get people like me, who get to enjoy two sets for one price. Anyways, like I said, your models have a lot of value, and what I notice and appreciate mostly about your models is the time and effort that you put into them. The topology, textures, flexes, rigs, etc. are really top notch, and the best part is even with how intricate your models are, you still managed to make them stupid easy to use. That in itself gives your models a lot of worth. If anything, you shouldn't feel defeated from this. I see this as a great opportunity for self improvement, so hang in there brother!

Hello =) I just heard about your anthro models from Strangedesirex and he told me that i needed to go seeing you if i wanted to using them. (i of course saw that those aren't free) But here's the thing... I'm a Gmodder. And so, i guess your models are probably SFM only? If that's the case, i dunno if they can work in Gmod (some "SFM only" models still works in Gmod after testing). Thus, buying your models without even knowing if using them in Gmod is possible is a risk that i hesitate to try...

They can't fit into GMod due to its limits. It is possible to make a GMod version of them but it will be really cropped in functionality and will only differ from Soria in good looks, so I'm not sure if it's even worth it.
