Fuck I can't believe it's over! Thank you for sticking with this show, I'm so glad you loved it so much. I'm not sure if you knew this, but the flashback scenes with the young Big 3 and Jack and Rebecca were filmed back when they filmed season 3! That's why the kids don't look as old as they do in some of the recent times we've seen them. I think it's so cool that they knew which scenes that wanted in the finale that long ago. It just proves again that they had this story mapped out from the beginning. The way the final clip is of Jack just makes me ugly cry, like showing him and then Randall just sitting back and watching their families at different points in time, and then cutting back to Jack and it just ending on his face as he watches this amazing family unit that he's built that we've seen will carry on and on for generations is just so fucking amazing. Jack's speech to Kevin and Randall in the bathroom too really fucks me up. We haven't seen as much of Jack in the past few seasons, and I love that he gets a really great role in the finale. I completely agree that this episode (for the most part) really could have fit into any episode from any season, and I just love that. This show didn't need a big flashy finale, it needed to wrap up these characters in a way that felt real and earned and it just absolutely stuck the landing. The music as well throughout the whole show has been amazing, with the themes and stuff cropping back up to kick you in the feels it's brutal sometimes hahaha. I also love how they didn't show the funeral speeches. We've seen six seasons of this show, and we've heard a million speeches and seen how these characters feel about each other. We don't need to even see what they say at Rebecca's funeral, because we already know exactly what they would say. I love the little moments between characters in this episode - again, they feel so earned after seasons of incredible character development. The moment between Kate and Toby showing how they are still a great parenting unit, the moment with Nicky and Kevin where Nicky acknowledges how Kevin basically changed the course of his whole life, the moment with Deja and Randall where she tells him the baby name, the William and Randall moment that slots so easily into season 1, the Jack and Rebecca convo that immediately we recognise from the second episode of the show, it just goes on and on. I think I agree with your season ranking overall. I love every season, but there was a certain magic about season 1 and especially season 2. Season 5 is the weakest but a big part of that was because of COVID and having to navigate filming and changing rules etc, and it's still a great season! Ugh I will never forget this show

Wow, wow, wow. What a ride. I think I joined your Patreon when you'd only reacted to a hanful of TIU episodes and I was excited because not many people react to this show. I'm so glad you stuck with it this whole time!! Your reactions and insight to this series have been such a joy. :)
