Oh and yes sadly Misa one year later on Valentineā€™s Day jumped off the building as she could not live in the world without Light

2023-02-01 00:32:29 On of the best finales to one of my favorite anime ever and Iā€™m about to write a book so apologies in advance lol - Love how they almost made it seem like Mello messed up when in fact it was all done on purpose basically to pressure Mikami into writing takadaā€™s name in the death note. Love that Mello and Near finally came together because that was the only way to take down Kira. - I personally feel that both Mello and Near are parts of L almost. Mello being his emotional side and Near being the pure intellectual side. They point to this many times in the final act but really drive it home here when near said acting as one they were able to stop him. I find both of their roles extremely vital to ultimately stopping Kira I do think these are way more fleshed out in the manga but I think it still managed to end well and the way he was caught made sense. - The voice acting by light in this episode is so good, his begging for someone to write down their names even though we knew no one was, itā€™s kind of a heartbreaking moment. Also the iconic laugh when he reveals to be Kira gives me chills. In the manga if I remember correctly light ended up begging Ryuk to write down the names and he just refuses. Also matsudaā€™s voice actor was so good, just wow. - The Kira reveal is such a satisfying and amazing moment in the series for me, I love seeing light completely shed this persona he has been putting on for so many years and finally revealing his true self and it was glorious. -Also really like the ending where he died, him dying in the middle of the staircase is great symbolism to show how he isnā€™t going to heaven or hell. The lighting in that scene and seeing L looking over him was so emotional. Idk it was just a striking scene - Hearing Ryuk at the end was such a great monologue to end the series with, I love Ryuk so much, he knew exactly what his intentions are from the beginning and I just love the shots of him sitting there in the sunset so iconic and great. -what I love most about the series as a whole is even though some arks are better than others I think the show couldnt exist without them, nothing feels too much like filler to me. I love how Death Note can make a whole episode of characters conversing and make it interesting and suck you in. I love the series and can watch it over and over again. L and Light are such memorable characters that make the show what it is. Overall I think this ending is just amazing, I donā€™t think itā€™s cheap. It makes sense the Kira reveal was amazing and itā€™s some of the best VO work Iā€™ve seen in an anime Dub before. Iā€™m really going to miss this series a lot, itā€™s such a sentimental one for me because itā€™s one of my favorites but also itā€™s what made me join patreon and meet such a great community and YouTuber! I canā€™t wait to see which anime youā€™ll be watching next, all of me hopes and prays for Haikyu because itā€™s a 10 but Iā€™ll be here to support any one you decide to watch!šŸ˜ Thanks so much, end of an era šŸ˜ā™„ļø
