I love Bash! And even though it's set in the 16th century, the music and costumes are purposely modernised, to better convey the concept of "High school drama of yore" if you know what I mean? I love Bash! he's by far my favourite character. Francis grows on you a bit, but yeah.. he is who he is... And I can't bloody stand Catherine De Medici... she's a spiteful bitch.. but she loves her kids... she's kind of a poor man's Cersei.. there will be cringy moments, but if you can look past them, it really is a good show. I'd personally love more uncut eps of this! Fun fact: Nostradamus is the IRL son of Donald Sutherland, brother of Kiefer.

Loved your reaction as usual! Mary is like this purely so that you can see her rapid decline in innocence because of her duties as queen. Bash is amazing, Francis does get better but he was never one of my favourites. Please keep in mind that as this was a pilot, producers can change their minds about character direction, amen this (without spoiling anything) happens with Catherine. After this ep she would NEVER have Mary raped EVER, tho she is ruthless in term of protecting her children. Glad you enjoyed it, personally I think it's one of the only pilots of a show that is more or less as strong as the rest of the season. PS: your pronunciation of Adelaide is correct lol x

to be fair Mary at the start of season 1 I think she's only 15 years old or something and her whole life she has known she was/has to be with Francis. She was six when she got engaged to Francis, she and Francis were also playmates. and then was sent to live with nuns at a convent where there were no boys. and now only being around 15 years old you can kinda see why she would want to have a connection with him plus she knows its also whats best for her country. Great reaction!

Know you love the actress who plays Mary & will always have her back but try to chill out a little where Francis is concerned please...Yes hes been a bit of an idiot but as a future king, being like 15/16 years old and having his entire life decided for him among other things, its gotta be hard...even showing/telling Mary what he wants...just saying give him a chance and get to know him & them as a couple more before u get so pissed off at him lol both brothers are lovely & genuinely good men/boys/ Hope in time u really like them both...& curious to see which people you will end up shipping. I cant even remember who i shipped out of the love triangle because both brothers are just so great...even though Francis is a bit of an idiot at the moment. looking forward to seeing u react to more Reign.

The bit where the newly weds are in the bedroom and everybody is standing around and watching... in those days they watched the first “bedding” to ensure that the marriage was fully consumated (and I think to confirm the virginity of the wife, but not certain on how they would tell lol; or if thats even the case!) inagine being a virgin, just been married off and now all your family and their friends are gonna watch you have sex for the first time!!
