I do like shadow hunters, i saw s1 before I went and read all of the books. After reading the books I was just so gutted by the tv show. Even with a cheesey-ish pilot it had SO much potential to be incredible if it stuck a bit more to the story line and timelines in the book series. I do feel the story arcs in the tv show are seriously rushed throughout the entire series so far; and events and things are “in the wrong place” lol for any of the book readers. But I did still enjoy the show. For me its like a guilty pleasure; I’ll watch it in the background and its fun. Interesting to see somebody watch it from fresh eyes with no knowledge of the book or tv series at all :)

Ur reaction was NOT as bad as I thought. This show is definitely a guilty pleasure show until season 2, but luckily s1 is only 13 episodes and the last 3 or 4 do start to pick up. Just a quick warning - a LOT of people will come for you if you don't ship one of the ships so be careful lol. It means a lot to most people. Great reaction as always, I really hope you'll be able to get past the cringing acting and bad cgi to see what is a show with some great characters :)

This show gets so so so good. Legit ask other reactors. They all say the same. Most people only stop at Season 1 - say it’s crap but don’t actually acknowledge how good it gets in S2 - and it progresses throughout S1 too.

I like the books. I think that season 1 starts out pretty rough, but the latter half starts to get good and season 2 made some massive improvements which made me really happy that I stuck with it.

S1 despite all of its flaws (there's a lot of it) is still incredibly fun to watch. Malec is the ultimate ship in this show! S2 is where it's at though.

season 1 is alright, i almost stopped after it but i'm glad i didn't cause season 2 is much better.
