its about 170 years before GoT, also fun fact in the scene where Rhaenyra finds Luke and Arraxs remains and crys, her dragon Syrax is also grieving her son as the little dragon hatched from her egg

the only problem i have with how Blood and Cheese (the end) plays out in the show is that its very different than the book which leeds to lot of logical problems. like you said there should be more guards, in the book there is a younger son besides the twins and the scene is way more brutal and the mother doesnt recover from it
