Driver's License Training - Continuation
Today was another day of driver's license training.
Since then, my driving skills have improved significantly, and I believe I've mastered the basics.
Currently, it's practical training outside the driving school premises.
However, since we can't conduct it within the city, we went outside the city for the training.

The instructor drove us to the city gate, and from there, I took over the driving.
The vehicle used for driving for the special large vehicle license training was basically a truck.
It was a crawler-type truck with two sections.
We not only drove along the highway but also had to navigate through grasslands and other terrains outside the city.
Although the truck is nowhere close to the latest vehicles like the Daigo Seventeen or the Lumite Grand Wing, this magic vehicle also had a considerable horsepower.
The ride was smooth with minimal vibrations, and I felt at ease driving it.
I wonder if the Lumite Grand Wing feels similar.

"Your driving skills have improved quite a bit, Miss Lily.”

"Thanks to your help. I can't afford to keep stumbling forever."

"That's fine. Still, it's quite rare for someone as young as you to come for driver's license training."

"Oh, is that so?"

I didn't see many young people at the driving school either, and it seems I wasn't mistaken.
Although there were occasional instances of servants from noble houses coming for training, even that was rare.
Since magic vehicles are luxury items, they aren't entrusted to young servants.
Consequently, the age of people coming for driver's license training naturally becomes higher.
Yeah, I knew it was unusual.

So, I asked about adventurers.
Still, it seems it's rare for adventurers to have a driver's license.
Magic vehicles are inconvenient for adventurers because they are not only luxury items but also bulky.
When adventurers reach a higher rank and have more financial flexibility, some of them buy magic vehicles and come for special large vehicle license training.
For adventurers, magic vehicles are used more for transporting goods than for personal travel.
They tend to prefer special large vehicles with large containers.
I was curious about whether adventurers could afford such large sums, but higher-ranked adventurers earn enough to afford it, so it's not a problem for them.
Some even see buying a special large vehicle as an investment for the future, allowing them to carry back large creatures like wyverns.
Of course, only a small portion of well-off adventurers can afford it.

While chatting about various topics, I continued driving the training car through the grasslands.
The crawler vehicle, treated with special processing, doesn't get entangled with grass.
Therefore, I could maintain a slightly higher speed.
While keeping the speed moderate to avoid danger when turning, I raced through the grasslands near Vaardmoi.
However, suddenly, I heard a loud noise as if something large had collided with the rear cargo trailer.
Unsure of what happened, we stopped the training vehicle and went to check.
There, we found a large pelican lying dead near the cargo.

"This is a Fat Pelican. I wonder why it’s here? It’s quite far away from the sea."

"Is this a monster?"

"Yes, it's a monster. It's a gluttonous monster, so it probably spotted the training car from the sky and charged at it."

"I see. That's why it collided with the cargo."

"Most likely. It seems to be dead, so should we put it in the cargo trailer and take it back? We can dismantle it and sell it in the city."

"Oh, can I have the magic stone, please? I have a use for it."

"Ah, you were a Tamer, right? Alright, you can keep the magic stone."

"Thank you. Talat, put this monster in the cargo trailer."

I asked Talat to put the Fat Pelican in the cargo trailer.
This monster was quite heavy.
After loading it, the training vehicle’s speed seemed to have difficulty increasing.
Well, it didn't affect the training significantly, so we continued with all the day's activities and returned to the city.
After returning to the city, when we went to the Adventurers’ Guild to request the dismantling of the Fat Pelican, they were quite surprised.
It seems this monster is considered a sea monster.
They started investigating the reason it came all the way to Vardmoi.
I hope it turns out to be nothing serious.
