Hirosue (1)
"Doctor Ikumatsu, how is he?"

It seems that without a cooking license, one cannot enter the Royal kitchen. To obtain a license, there's a hefty examination fee called the identification fee. Even though I've been working since middle school graduation, I still haven't saved up enough money to pay the identification fee. Without a surname, I can’t have the license. I couldn't enter the kitchen, so all I could do was write down recipes and pass them along. I peeked into the room, concerned about Naruhito, who had fallen asleep during lunchtime.

Doctor Ikumatsu, who was facing the bed, turned around and shook his head. A glass of mixed juice is placed on the desk next to the bed. Judging by the color, I realize that my recipe has been ignored. There's no way Naruhito can drink such a thick mixture.

I carefully selected fewer bananas, oranges with less acidity, and more apples. Too little milk makes it too hard to drink, while too much makes it too watery. I don't add sugar because too much flavor surprises the palate. Instead of water, I added a little ice to the blender to make it cold, just the way Naruhito likes it. And it needs to be strained through a cloth at least twice.

What was the point of writing such detailed recipes? The thickness and flavor.

Just with this, they should have guessed how the porridge should be made, too. Naruhito might starve to death. Princess Otoha also wasn't eating much. Perhaps putting something with a bit more texture in the soup was a bad idea. Even though it seems like she's eating the same as everyone else, the princess doesn't like tough food either. Especially with soup, there should be fewer ingredients, or they should be simmered until they melt. It has to be drinkable. Prince Hiiro, who also has many likes and dislikes, openly leaves what he doesn't like and goes for seconds on what he can eat, but he's likely to get bored eventually. Murakano, who is a picky eater, resorts to the drastic measure of closing her eyes and drinking water to swallow what she doesn't like. She can't leave food at the Royal palace, but she can't eat what she doesn't like either, so it's only a matter of time before she says she's not hungry and refrains from eating.

Doctor Ikumatsu also forgets to eat if not reminded. He often settles for jelly drinks. Come to think of it, was he here during the last meal? Or did he forget to eat while taking care of Naruhito?
Normally, I would quickly make onigiri and bring them over, but I can't do that now.
This is bad.
If I can't enter the kitchen, we'll all end up falling ill.
