Catastie Day 6: Departure from Catastie
On the 6th day in Catastie, it was the day to return to Vardmoi.
Before leaving, I didn’t forget to visit the morning market again to buy fresh fish as souvenirs.
After that, it was decided that we would stop by the Catastie Trade Guild to say goodbye.

"Well, it's truly regrettable. Having someone blessed with your business acumen leaving Catastie..."

"Don't flatter me, Mr. Otto. I'm here strictly for business."

"Hmm, can't you be moved by sentiment?"

Mr. Otto is so transparent.
But I guess that's what he always does.
He doesn't seem to mind even if he fails.

"Now, setting aside Otto's theatrics. Please make sure to convey everything that was decided during the negotiations to Lady Priscilla."

"I understand. I will definitely convey it to Lady Priscilla."

"I'm counting on you. Not only is there an abundant catch, but the town is also in a festive mood about seaweed being edible. Even restaurants that have been serving traditional dishes from various countries are starting to create dishes using seaweed."

Hmm, that's a good thing.
If it's non-toxic seaweed, it should be good for health.
I hope people will eat a lot of it.

"Oh, and about the request from the Principality of Darsche to increase salt production, leave it to me. We haven't been operating at full capacity because we couldn't sell too much salt. If we ramp up production there, it'll become a sufficient commodity."

"Thank you. The Principality of Darsche seems to be in quite a bind as well."

"Understood. However, just plain salt feels uninspired. I wonder if there's any unusual type of salt."

Oh, the gaze is coming my way.
They're seeking ideas from me.
Oh, come to think of it, what about that?

"... Have you heard of seaweed salt? It's a technique where seawater is poured over seaweed to extract salt. Because it retains the umami of seaweed compared to regular salt, it's said to be delicious."

"I see. Then, let's research that as well."

"Is that okay? I can't take responsibility, you know?"

"Just making plain salt will eventually lead to price wars. It's not a mistake to prepare specialty salt as a precaution. Since you seem to not know much about it, I won't ask further, but thank you."

Hmm, it seems like what I casually mentioned might become important.
But they'll surely develop it, right?

For lunch, we prioritized my preference and went to eat Jais.
Everyone from the Wildcat Claws ordered the least spicy one after getting burned last time, but Alizée ordered the second from the bottom.
Even though it was still quite stimulating, the fact that she joyfully finished it indicates that Alizée can handle spicy food well.

All that's left is to check out from the inn and leave by the Lumite Grand Wing.
We thanked the innkeeper of the inn where we stayed for the week and set off for Vardmoi!
