Catastie Day 2: Meeting the Trade Guild’s Guild Master
"We apologize for the wait. Now that I have Otto’s confirmation, I can guide you to the reception room."

It seems that Priscilla's introduction letter had a tremendous effect.
Despite the prior contact, it's quite unusual for a novice copper-ranked merchant like me to easily have an audience with the Guild Master.
… Huh?
Come to think of it, was I given special treatment in Vardmoi?

Lost in various thoughts, we arrived at the reception room and took our seats on the sofa.
I sat at the upper seat, with Alizée as my assistant at the lower seat.
The members of the Wildcat Claws, though I felt sorry for them, stood behind the sofa as guards.

From there, we waited patiently until representatives from Catastie's Trade Guild arrived.
All the necessary preliminary discussions were completed yesterday.
Considering Catastie's desire to have as much of my fabric as possible, we anticipated their priority purchase rights.

On my part, I planned to negotiate for prioritized wholesale of seafood.
Of course, it would be used at the Spiderling's Nest and also consumed in my home and the Marquis's residence.
Moreover, less expensive fish had become familiar even to commoners.
If they could be obtained more affordably in the future, I thought about offering a considerable amount of fabric.
Alizée and I discussed this together.

The Guild Master of the Catastie Trade Guild, Otto, was apparently the type who wasn’t as adept at subtlety as Priscilla, but aggressively presented demands to explore compromises.
However, his demands are just his wishes, and he apparently wouldn’t push too far, so that's reassuring.
In fact, if we assert ourselves, he was likely to make concessions within a reasonable range.
It seems that Otto enjoys negotiating.

I'm not sure if the Vice-Master will participate in this negotiation, but the Vice-Master, Radost, is also a sharp individual, and dealing with him won't be straightforward.
Now, let's see how it goes.

"We appreciate your patience. I am Otto, the Guild Master of this Trade Guild. And this is our Vice-Master, Radost, standing next to me."

"I am Radost, who oversees all kinds of matters. Pleasure to meet you today."

Wow, both the Guild Master and the Vice-Master are present for the negotiation...
This might be a bit challenging for me.
Alizée, do your best!
