Catastie Day 2: To the Trade Guild
The dinner that came out at the inn was delicious, as expected from a high-class hotel.
It was a course meal with a focus on seafood, but it also included meat, and the taste of the sauce was rich.
I think the sauce might have been a seafood-based sauce.
Breakfast was also luxurious and satisfying.
Truly impressive.

After finishing our meal and getting ready, we headed to the Trade Guild of Catastie.
Since the Lumite Grand Wing is indeed conspicuous and difficult to move in a city, we used a carriage for transportation.
The Trade Guild seemed to be located in the central part of this city.
After a while of traveling, a five-story building with a bell tower came into view.
According to Alizée’s information, that building is where the Trade Guild was located.
It seems to be a large building, not just for the Trade Guild but also part of the city's administrative government.

We got off the carriage in front of such a large building and entered the Trade Guild.

"Welcome to the Trade Guild. What can we help you with today?"

Right after entering the entrance, there is a counter with several staff members working.
It seems that they will inquire about the purpose and guide you to the appropriate counter.
I wonder if there's a specific reason for doing this in this city, unlike in Vardmoi?

"Nice to meet you. I am Alizée, the personal representative of the Vardmoi Trade Guild. I have a letter from our Guild Master, Priscilla, for your Guild Master, Otto. Please confirm it."

"Addressed to the Guild Master!? … Indeed, it bears the signature of the Guild Master of the Vardmoi Trade Guild. I will pass it on to Guild Master Otto. Please have a seat over there and wait for a while."

Prompted by the receptionist, I sat in a chair, waiting for a response from the Catastie Trade Guild Master.
While waiting, I observed the surroundings.
People were being assigned to various counters by talking to the receptionists near the entrance.
However, the allocation seemed inconsistent, and I wondered why.
Moreover, it appeared that individuals with a distinctive accent were being assigned to different counters...

"Lady Lily, are you interested in how the reception is organized?"

"Huh? Oh, yes. Do you know about it, Alizée?”

"As far as I know, they separate the counters based on the country of origin.
Most merchants can naturally speak the native language of their destination, but not everyone is as fluent. Also, since similar words may have different meanings, they generally ask about the country of origin at the entrance and assign the person to a counter where the staff can speak their country's language."

"I see. It's different from Vardmoi."

"Vardmoi is inland, so many traders there are accustomed to the language of this country. However, since this city serves as a gateway to overseas, it's not the same here. By the way, the Vardmoi Trade Guild also has counters for foreign languages."

Oh, I didn't know that.
Come to think of it, is the language I'm speaking the language of this country?
I never thought about it because I speak normally, but it wouldn't be strange if the native language varied by country.
I wonder if the Goddess's power allows me to speak the languages of each country in a native tone?
