Game and Page Overhaul (Patreon)
Content
Greetings dear community,
As you most likely have noticed, the vision for Wild Life has been evolving a lot since we started this campaign. As a result, our patreon page is more and more misrepresenting - or better - underrepresenting the project.
We have been working on a new About Page overhaul that better describes the game and its planned features. It will come live in a few days.
As mentioned in a previous post, our first full-time coder has started and with that a complete rebuild of our game was in order:
Guuii and me faced the following challenges:
- Scalability
- Modularity
- Performance Optimisation
- Feature Implementation
- Visuals
- Gameplay Implementation
Now - thanks to your amazing support - we are recruiting incredible talents into our team. Together we will work on those topics with a whole new level of energy and manpower.
The last month was extremely work-intensive as we have been putting significant time into planning, team building, document-writing, etc. We’ve had several meetings with our programmers and artists to talk about important things like Source Control/Version Control, project/workflow/code documentation, bug tracking, task management, structure, project features, server and backup systems, roadmaps and more things, all of which need to be introduced into our operation.
Taking into consideration that the team is now getting in the running-start, unfortunately there won’t be any new features to our current build this month. Be prepared though - we are now pushing the project into a proper developing environment: We’re recreating our pipelines and structures in a more professional and scalable manner - rebuilding on a scale like this will take time. But trust me, it will be worth the wait.
Cheers,
The Wild Life Team
PS: As some of you might have learned, patreon is introducing new stricter/clearer guidelines and they are enforcing them firmly. This means that our publicly accessible stuff will have to be completely free of nsfw content. To make sure we don't cross any borders regarding the new guidelines we have already went ahead and deleted a few of our posts and wordings that could have caused conflicts.
