It will be an ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR room!! It is the feel of being in an aviary that will make it so special. I think, too, that the "perspective" of the wallpaper (the birds on the outside of the iron fence) will make the room feel larger than it is. Here is an idea. I don't know how you could pull this off but you might have fun with it. I use the tweeting of birds as my alarm on my iPhone. Is there any way you could have birds tweeting at some point in the room - maybe when you turn the shower on, turn the light on or flush the toilet if there is one in the room.......just a crazy thought.

Oh yeah! You TOTALLY made the right choice with the bird wallpaper, contestant #2. I am having a little bit of a Hitchcock moment with the number of birds that will be lurking about, but yours seem quite a bit better mannered than those in the film. On a different topic, I was in the middle of putting together some Cadeaux for the Chateau when you dropped the bomb on Cat leaving and Philip’s future performance. If you’re able…please give us your current estimate regarding the timing and duration of their absence. I’m assuming Cat will return because no one seems to be sobbing uncontrollably. If you’re not empowered to share, we’ll just have to wait in suspense and dig deep to find some patience. Thanks Stephanie!

Love the decoration ideas! And congrats to Marie and family on their little addition. I have a 12-year-old white Havanese (Bichon Friese family). They are adorable companion dogs. They are hypoallergenic because they have hair, not fur.

Tiny bathrooms are the perfect opportunity to splash out and have fun with the decor! A tiny little jewel box just as you said. Hopefully Ian or Amory can add a wooden shelf to the niches for even more storage and to bring in some organic texture.

I love that the little bathroom is getting special attention. There will be beautiful surprises tucked around every corner of Lalande when you are through. Hope you have a wonderful visit in Brussels. Seeing people meeting again and going out is happiness to my soul. You have picked the perfect wallpaper, tiles and accessories for the petite ensuite. Will it have a central ceiling light or just sconces?You could use a small bird cage as a shade for a central light or white or silver twigs. It going to look gorgeous.

I would love for you to use the start of the month update next week to give us a proper run down of all the ongoing jobs. In previous updates you used a spread sheet to track progress of the different goals. I find when you run around to each person entertaining but some things do get lost or missed in that format so I would love you to also give an update on things not currently being worked on e.g the lake , the kitchen / butlers pantry bench, shutter dogs, insulating the attic, selmas parking space and the woods. In previous start of the months you then gave us a copy of the notes or spreadsheet you used to prepare this information for us. Would love to see this brought back to compliment the current style.

I did the same thing in my bathroom! But I went overboard with the hare theme. I wish I could send you some pics. We call it the bunny bathroom and I decorated it 4 years ago and love it just as much today as I did the day I completed it. I absolutely love all your choices and I am currently decorating my daughters house and I am obsessed with wallpaper and tile. I got all excited last week because Patreon showed that you had suddenly jumped from $32,000 to over $40,000! I thought that you must have had a giant jump in viewers and Patreon subscribers. Stephanie, you totally nailed it with the "Bird Bath" room. You absolutely made all the right choices. My only suggestion is for the bird sconces. A bare bulb, in addition to not being decorative, is very glary to the eye. If you could find a cute (pink?) tiny shade that fits over each bulb, it would be prettier and less blinding. More finished, as it were. And in addition to towel hooks, maybe a few hooks to hang clothing or a robe whilst showering. Can't wait to see the results. Good work!

The theater paper is fun, the floral paper is classic chateau, but when I saw the bird cage paper…💕. It would feel as if your in a gilded cage with the birds on the outside; sort of an Alice in Wonderland flip of reality, in a beautiful way! Can’t wait to see it.

For your next year's accounting would it be easier if you had dedicated accounts for each type of expense? One for your personal finances, one for the association and one for the business? You could then make only the appropriate purchases from the appropriate account? It would certainly save you so much of your time and your accountants time every year. Life is too short to highlight so much! Lol

I’d have chosen the birds as well. I have to block half my French doors so the dogs can’t see out and bark all day. I use an opaque cling film that’s white to let light in and is covered in tree branches with colorful birds in them. The light makes them beautiful and the dogs can’t see out. That wallpaper is gorgeous and if I could decorate my apartment I’d love to have that. Marie looks very beautiful and I can’t wait to see the puppy romping around at Lelande.

Love the theme you’ve gone for. If you find after adding the bird pieces that they need a bit of pizzazz you can add gold gilding or paint them sold gold.

I worry so about the heating situation, I hope it’s all worked out before winter sets in. I can’t imagine having to purchase so many radiators, I hope for your sake and everyone at the Chateau that they last a very long time and keep you all toasty warm in the winter months ahead.
