Stephanie I have thoroughly enjoyed the first two advent videos. Thank you! Please know your videos have inspired me to enjoy every moment of Christmas this month. I am even making an advent calendar for the family like the one you have in the kitchen. Your video last year gave me the idea to decorate our banister and hang our advent gifts down the stairs. Starting at the top and working down towards the Xmas tree on the 25th. I couldn’t help but notice on the intro to the advent videos that it looks like a lot of heat escapes from the chateau through the roof. Could insulating the roof be a target you could work on?

2020 has been such a crazy year - but through it, all your videos and updates have been a great comfort. You truly deserve your success and the fact that your monthly totals stay fairly stable is testament to the quality of the content you share, both here and on YouTube - I will be watching closely to see the subscription numbers and expect that you will hit 100 subscribers very soon. Love the Liberty Advent calendar on the shelf. :)

This update was chock full!! So happy to see the Patron level staying up and nearly 100K subscribers! I’m sure that will go up yet again with the new season of the TV series. I do hope you get to do some press/television for that?!??—you’d be perfect and could do it remotely if needed. Maybe a savvy volunteer could pick up some PR duties? Don’t know if you want to be that famous, but I’m scared to think what might happen if you ended up on morning chat shows. KABOOM! You’re an even bigger star! Fantastic news on the monthly intake of donations, and all the plans upcoming. Thank you, Stephanie, for being so thorough in keeping us informed. If you were to take all the blue china out of the kitchen it would be like yanking the very soul out of the heart of the home!! I am so excited to hear that there will be an interview in the near future with Michael Potts. Aside the wonderful goings on at the Chateau, the thing that I find the most interesting are the friendships that have stood the test of time. I guess because it mirrors my own life. I have always been curious about both Michael and Nick because I would love to hear what they think about the big changes that have been happening since you started the vlogs. One day I hope Nick will consider doing an interview and be able to stay off camera, because I think he must be a really special and interesting person to have believed in the dream, invested in it, and stayed the course through all the ups and downs. It’s a fairytale story of how wonderful true friendships can be.

Stephanie, Thank you so much for this wonderful update! The Q & A was very helpful. It is so encouraging to know that everything is moving along but sheesh, it’s a challenge to be patient and wait patiently to get things done between lockdown (again) and people having other commitments (we’d love for them to focus on LaLande only. 😂). The Advent vlogs are just wonderful. I can’t wait to see them each day. It is especially nice since my family (and many others) is/are not able to get together and follow traditions as we’d like. I love these videos. It's like we all pop into Lalande to see what our friends are doing a couple of times per week. Only we're not actually flying to France and we don't actually know them in RL. lol It cracks me up but I'm SO thankful for your channel and the wonderful people who live there, visit, volunteer. It's an enormous privilege you all grant us, this little peek into a life that is nothing like our reality. Thank you! Plus I feel great that I'm supporting the restoration and history of these buildings. You know it's not just the roof or the tiles I want to help preserve, it's the infusion of energy and new history into these buildings. You represent OUR time in them very well.

I don't know if they have the bandwidth to support such a thing. Hopefully, they will eventually get the satellite internet up and running and that will improve their ability to do more livestreaming.

Great to hear all the news from behind the scenes! It must be so frustrating to be waiting all the time for things to happen so that your projects can carry on. Fabulous video thank you so much for all your work x it’s now grey and cold where I am in France for the first time this year although I’m 2 hours or more south of you!! Hopefully the sun will visit us again soon xx we have had a lot of our French doors replaced this year and what a difference, my hubby and I keep asking each other ‘why did we wait 11 years!!’ ....No clue 🙄😂🤣

Echoing what many others have said "The LeLande Patreon HR departmen"t have consulted and have strong recommendation Stephanie takes her much un used holiday!!!! As in PLEASE take some total time off - even a bit will be nourishing - yes the videos will be missed BUT in order to continue to create them you need take care of you first and foremost so you can do that. Especially as you have not been able to go away at all for so long - My husband and i run our own business and we noticed that unless we physically put breaks in our diaries for the year ahead they mostly didnt happen unless we were going away

The Advent video's are so lovely I cant wait in the evenings to sit down and watch them. So much beauty at the Chateau, I loved seeing St Cecillia's stained glass window that evening light pouring through from the outside.

Stephanie as the new doors have been such an insulation success will you be creating a timeframe plan for the phased upgrading of all the chateau windows and doors? Perhaps as a start, as each room is renovated you might include upgrading of its windows at the same time as part of the project?

Thanks Stephanie for the lovely update! In January, I'm sure many of us wouldn't mind for you to take some time off if you wanted to -- just to be creative, breath, read your books and take life in. I know I'm at my most creative when I take a little time without a multitude of to-dos. Also, could be an opportunity to consider and plan your goals and work on a few projects for 2021. As this year comes to an end, we remember our old friendships as well as the new ones. The nursery song is right, make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold. Have you ever heard of Replacements Limited in Greensboro NC? They buy and sell all kinds of china patterns. They also have a museum that I am sure will reopen after the COVID pandemic....they certainly share your love of china!

I recently went back and watched the first episode of Chateau Diaries and it reminded me how far you have come since then. You have a great way with people - I'm surprised you haven't been offered a TV presenting role - or maybe you have? I haven't been able to get the patreon discount applied for the wrapping papers re Stephanies email just before No 3 Christmas Diaries yesterday. The general 10% discount worked but not the 50% Help..What am I doing wrong ?

Love the update and so glad you are giving the chateau diaries a Christmas holiday as I was wondering how on earth you would have the time with all the advent videos as well! Advent videos are excellent and great to see everyone taking part. It really does put you in the Christmas spirit. 🎄 I think the end of year review (A look back of Life, Love and Laughter at LaLande !)- could take place in January when it’s quieter and to give yourself a break between Christmas and New Year. As much as I love an update on the renovations I think it can wait till new year. Other than that keep up the great work😊

Hello Stephanie and thanks for all your work, very much appreciated. Nice to see the Jaguar with a christmas tree on the roof; I have done similar, including an eight foot tree sticking out of a 2CV. I am involved with older cars here in the UK, where there are many marque specialists. Not sure exactly what is wrong with your car but I am guessing something fairly major. What a wonderful video!! I loved the sound of the fire crackling away in the background. You inspire me to incorporate more of what I love about you and your life at Lalande into my own. Wonderful to hear the updates and if the big update doesn't happen until January and the start of a new year, I think we would all be fine with that. Christmas is too precious to rush through, so I hope you're finding time to have some quiet moments to soak it all in, and if that means a little less for us, I'm ok with that :). I live about 2 1/2 hrs away from Biltmore here in NC, so if travel plans ever go so far, would be fun to do a meet-up! Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas season!!

My daughter Maya and I are loving the advent calenders, we watched last years during November so it felt like advent started early which was really cheery and it has been incredible sharing this year with La Lande too. I do want to say please remember you are so lucky (even though you have frustrations with it) to live in one of the last areas in Europe to not be bathed in strong phone and satelite frequencies - even if you cannot feel it I can assure you that they have a detrimental effect on people and nature - especially 4g and 5g will be like nothing the earth has ever experienced before with an inescapable grid around the earth. One day I hope technologies will work with nature and health giving frequencies but until that time please appreciate that you have a little bit of paradise to protect from all of that. It is also probably why everyone feels so good at La Lande too apart from of course the beauty, fun and joy that you create there. Thank you to everyone for all the joy and inspiration.

I greatly enjoy my own company lol. So it doesn't bother me (and I enjoy) periods of alone time. I have friends and family that do not like being alone even for an evening. I've always viewed it as "If you can't be content or happy in your own company, how do you expect anyone else to enjoy your company?" But, we are all different.

I would love to see a video (sorry if this has already been done, I have not made may way through all the past vids yet) like a time line of when you bought La Lande and before and after photos of places like the lake, entrance with and without the fountain, the walled garden, some of the rooms. I love seeing before and after's and I think it would be great to see over the 15 years how it has changed. :)
