Patreon Update from Lalande: Target Vote!!!

Anonymous

Amazing! Thanks Stephanie

Anonymous

We’re being spoiled this eve

Anonymous

Yay 😁

Anonymous

I’d like to suggest maybe a second fridge with a freezer at the bottom. No need to get a new bigger one if it doesn’t fit just get another one perhaps you can put it just around the corner.

Anonymous

Hurrah and I just finished the other video and chat, my Lalande plate runneth over!

Anonymous

New fridge! I’m with #TeamMarie! 🥰🥶

Anonymous

I vote for a fridge: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Samsung-Family-Hub-Family-Hub-26-5-cu-ft-French-Door-Refrigerator-with-Ice-Maker-Fingerprint-Resistant-Stainless-Steel-ENERGY-STAR/1002692794?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-app-_-google-_-lia-_-118-_-refrigerators-_-1002692794-_-0&placeholder=null&gclid=Cj0KCQjws536BRDTARIsANeUZ5_2WRLAbytpZZjRV9asZD9bVB9wvZBF0FZT1askh4mz95QvoaOCRl4aAvpjEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Anonymous

Love the choices. I do have a question, if you get a new fridge would it have to go in the same location (that would hinder how big it could be). It would be wonderful for you to get a commercial fridge but they are very large. Are you planning on renovating the pantry? And if so, could the fridge wait until then so that it could be bigger and in a more appropriate space?

Anonymous

Oh behind Marie and the fridge on your old stove I see what I think is a lovely old spit roaster, the sort of triangular angled bit, I think those held meat to be roasted on a spit, I might be wrong, was that its purpose?

Anonymous

Hopefully you’re using a poll!!

Anonymous

I vote for the chainsaw & structures that can be made to enhance the grounds.

Anonymous

All such great ideas!

Anonymous

I have to say , thus far, I"m on team sinks, mainly because my OWN horrid Kitchen Sink needs a redo and I can live vicariously through you!

Anonymous

The chickens need a house! Selmar for the win! It would save so much money and with cooler weather, the chickens need shelters.

Anonymous

Chainsaws and bench saw, we need more man glitter for Selmar ❤️

Anonymous

I would like to vote for Selmars idea. Its a good long term sustainability idea. A chain saw and cutting machine has my vote. Love to all x

Anonymous

I love to cook so I’m on team Marie. I know how hard it is to cook without the proper equipment. Also, we must cook several times a day so I believe it’s the most crucial.

Anonymous

My first vote as a new Patreon.

Anonymous

Go to the next post for the poll to vote!!

Anonymous

1st the countertop for the sink in the back kitchen 2nd fridge for Marie 3rd power saw for Selmar (Sorry Selmar)

Anonymous

What a lovely little moment with the hare. I’m so glad your office is so inspiring as well 😊

Anonymous

I vote for Selmars idea and you would save so much money x

Anonymous

Well, now I might be team Selmar as we've been JUST starting on our small wood and we also need such things, and as I've a chicken and a quail house to build myself this Autumn, I think I might have to vote Selmar! And yes wood and building things are ruinously expensive! I VOTE whole heartedly with Selmar and woodsy things

Anonymous

Selmar gets my vote

Anonymous

I vote for the fridge! I’ve often wondered how you manage with such a tiny fridge when so many people are in the house and then having events. You need a big fridge!!! But if it’s possible, maybe buy the fridge and then get a cheap something to make do for the countertop.

Anonymous

I vote for Selmar and all the equipment for the wood workshop.

Anonymous

I vote for Selmar’s suggestion but I understand the work top and five S asimportant, perhaps all 3 suggestions can be achieved? Xx

Anonymous

I vote for Selmar’s carpentry equipment. I can just see all of the beautiful things he will be able to create! Perhaps even a new, thicker work surface for the dishwashing area. 😉 So with that vote, we can perhaps knock out two of the options! If only he could build a fridge as well! 😆 The volume was great, Stephanie. I didn’t even notice any issues with it.

Anonymous

Well difficult I am going with the new work surface for the sinks enjoy all the vlogs Dan tommos Maria etc love them👍and of course yours Stephanie so much entertainment

Anonymous

Definitely a NEW FRIDGE - the business needs something 3 X the size of the current one preferably double door and stainless steel inside and out for easy cleaning!

Anonymous

Three grate ideas but Selma’s idea could solve the counter problem too. So that’s a two for one!

Anonymous

I vote for a fridge. I’ve had my own refrigerator crisis this year and a second big one in another room will make such a difference for the Marie making food for the guests. Must protect against food poisoning!!

Maria Soberanis

I vote selmar, all of the ideas are really great and I wish you could do all 3!

Anonymous

Vote for Selmar he can get a lot done before winter

Anonymous

Fridge yah the fridge

Anonymous

I’m voting for Selmar, because perhaps with his equipment he can make the countertop, and because I’m definitely torn between the fridge and the new countertop they’re both extremely important as I entertain often and could not imagine such a small fridge for so many people, but I will vote for Selmar, because I think it’s the most important at this time!

Anonymous

I think Selma is the one, when he had all the equipment he needs he can also sort out the kitchen washing up unit

Anonymous

I voted for Selmar, he needs the equipment to make and repair, with all the lovely wood around the Chateau, it makes perfect sense to me. Wood of any kind is so expensive.

Anonymous

Table saw. So much to make and do.

Anonymous

How fun! Another vote...Gosh this is a tough one. 🤔 hmmmm I vote for Selmar! Go Selmar 🔨🪓🗜🧰🧹🪑

Anonymous

Imagine what Selmar can do with some new tools!!

Anonymous

I voted for the wash surface as it is structural and will need a solid stone material to prevent erosion and extend its longevity.

Anonymous

It's so hard to decide; the target suggestions are all so worthy. But, I must vote and I am voting for the kitchen refrigerator.

Anonymous

All three really need to be done. I think the fridge first then the chain saw so he can make new work counters!!!

Anonymous

Fridge is the most important thing. It is simply dangerous not to have enough cold space for food when serving so many people, paying guests would expect food safety aspects to be a priority.

Anonymous

Stephanie, if I remember correctly, Michael P.’s dad mentioned in one of their videos that he used to install swimming pools for a living. I’m sure he’d be happy to offer some tips/advice to get you started.

Anonymous

I’m a carpenter daughter so I feel it’s only fitting that I vote for Selmar’s chain saw and table saw. The skill he has will be so improved and enhanced by having these tools. I’ll give my advance congratulations to Selma. Hooray.

Anonymous

That is so exciting to be voting again - well done on getting to 20K..

Anonymous

If you’re looking at swimming pool ideas, check out David Pagan Butler’s YouTube channel. He’s developed a very interesting swimming pond design that is cheaper to build than a conventional pool and uses a planted gravel bed as the filtration system, so no harsh chemicals. https://youtu.be/9Om3-4mpQFQ

Anonymous

1) Kitchen surface, 2) Refrigerator, 3) Equipment for the wood workshop, Good luck and hope you will do them all. With love from Ms. Attrix in Miami

Anonymous

Yay! Interview with Gerry! I’m so looking forward to that . I wish I could listen to him every day I’d be so happy

Anonymous

I vote for Selmar As someone above said he could make a new work surface using the wood ( although they’d probably prefer stone ) There’s the opportunity to use the wood to make goods and perhaps sell them. I’m not sure what the wood is but maybe food serving boards, chopping boards, stools or garden furniture. Goods could be then sold and go towards a new fridge and work surface.

Anonymous

I vote for Selmar, he can do so much more with t he right tools...and your lovely pile of wood! Thank you for this video, love it🥰

Anonymous

From the start I have wondered how they manage on a fridge that small for all of the B&B guests, volunteers and family. They for sure need a much larger unit. All great ideas. Selmar is my 2nd vote.

Anonymous

I am voting number 1 for the equipment that Selmar needs. If he gets that he can make new counters for the kitchen with all of the wood he already has. So perhaps two in one ? Number 2 is the counter in the kitchen and 3 will be the refrigerator.

Anonymous

I voted for Selmar's tools. Can I suggest that you make a polished concrete work surface for the washing up room. Its quote cheap and really durable. I'm sure Selmar could do it easily. Xx

Anonymous

I will vote for the Carpentry Studio, as Selmar will be able to do more around the Chateau saving money on thing you would have to buy. He could even fit new worktops in the kitchen.

Anonymous

OMG that hair is huge...are you sure it's not a deer!

Anonymous

I'm voting for the fridge,. My immediate thought was the carpentry equipment because it would be wonderful for Selmar to be able to work with all the lovely Lalande wood and crazy to have to spend so much to buy it, but watching the video I can't even imagine how poor Marie and the others crrrrrrrrrrram all the necessary food into that one fridge. Fridge it is from me!!

Anonymous

Oooh these are all so good! But I must go with Selmar. A fridge and kitchen workspace are important, but I believe he can do much more good for Lalande than just those two things, given the right equipment.

Anonymous

What a beautiful sunset. All three are great ideas but in my humble opinion, if you can't do all three, do what would benefit your guest. I think a new LARGE refrigerator would be a good idea, esp. for the workshops, B and B guest and all the company Steph has there. Speaking of which...when is David going to make a special guest appearance again? :-) LOVED that huge hare. We don't have them that size in the US.

Anonymous

I vote for Selmar. (I’ve always been a big Selmar fan). I do like all the ideas (a new fridge and a new work surface are all essential) and I wish all of these could be done right now. And, ladies, please know that this will happen in the not-too-distant future. The kitchen is dear to my heart, too. However, I know that Selmar is a man of vision and creativity. He possesses the will, desire and energy to make it all become a reality. (A lot of manifestation, meditation and positive thinking happens in that little Camper). He is looking at the big picture. In his mind, the possibilities are endless. As he pointed out, wood is very expensive .... Selmar can use all of that wood to improve the Chateau. Maybe, you could also sell some of the wood. And, as other patrons have pointed out, selling souvenir items made out of wood can become a source of income for Lalande. You could start a Mail Order business for small items with a Lalande logo on them. My best wishes to you all. I wish I could vote for Marie and Nati, too. 🥰🥰

Anonymous

Ok my vote is for the chainsaw and table saw. I want to support the other too but a decision has to be made!

Anonymous

Selmar has my vote. He could then put new worktops in the kitchen.

Anonymous

Every estate needs a Wood Shop.

Anonymous

Selmar gets my vote. He is so creative - just think what he could do with all that lovely wood.

Anonymous

They are all really important things that need to be done. I think the Health and safety / hygiene issues for the worktop is probably first, followed by Fridge followed by the woodworking machines.

Anonymous

Hands up for Selmar, wood shop the gift that keeps giving.

Anonymous

They were all ideas are necessary and wish they could all be done straight away. But I voted for the workshop. As this helps keep La Lande going and improving things and has the potential for making money for the Chateau and help fund other things that are needed like a new fridge 😊

Anonymous

DEFINITELY WITH ALL OF THE WORK-AWAYS, FAMILY, AND WORKSHOP GUESTS STAYING AT THE CHATEAU, THE BIGGER REFRIDGERATION UNIT IS THE FIRST MUST‼️ . SHUFFLING FOOD FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER IS DANGEROUS ‼️😳 YOU WANT TO KEEP IT AT A CONSTANT 4.4 DEGREES CELSIUS TO ENSURE HEALTHY PREP FOOD AND LEFTOVERS. 👍😃 THIS IS AN EASY GOAL TO GET DONE WHICH WILL PROVIDE THE MOST IMMEDIATE BENEFIT AND SAFTY TO ALL THE CHATEAU AND ITS “ LIFE , LOVE AND LAUGHTER “ CAST. CHEERS FROM LOUISIANA USA 😃😊😍🥰😘

Anonymous

Hares are a symbol of rebirth and resurrection, which is what you are bringing so beautifully to Lalande.

Anonymous

Fridge seems critical, wood working equipment second,

Anonymous

I voted for selmar because he is the one that can help Nati with a new washing place ;)

Anonymous

Oh my goodness, it's so difficult to choose between such necessary options!! But it has to be done. Selma, you're it! Table saw and chain saw, these are absolute necessities for a chateau. I actually can't believe you have been doing all you have been without them so far. You are even more amazing than I thought.

Anonymous

I vote for the wood working equipment first. Refrigerator, second.

Anonymous

That’s a tough one, but I vote, Selmar’s equipment first, fridge second and worktop 3rd.

Anonymous

Selmar gets my vote the right tools makes all the difference, :)

Anonymous

A difficult choice! I vote for the refrigerator first, the wood working equipment second.

Anonymous

Okay, so you hit 21,000 dollars and half that is 10,500 dollars to use on the Chateau. That's plenty of money to have all three! An industrial sized fridge will run just under $4,000 dollars and more than enough left over for a great chainsaw $400, table saw, other saws (perhaps a jigsaw) and granite countertop in the washing up kitchen. Seriously. More than enough. So I don't understand why you can't have all three. Therefore, my vote is for all of them! :)

Anonymous

Vote Selmar’s equipment first so looking forward for the chateaus for chickens:)

Anonymous

I say "fridge" first, then "woodwork equipment" second followed by kitchen surface. I think, though, that all three are probably doable in the next couple of months as you are hovering around the $21,000.00 mark. Enjoy whatever is the winner.

Anonymous

What exciting times. They are all important however Selma gets my vote. He can achieve so much and perhaps make a new work surface for the kitchen that is water resistant as he is so clever.

Anonymous

I vote for Selmar’s equipment. A package should arrive soon and the lights have batteries and you just need to push the remote to turn them on.

Anonymous

I agree with mummy that the work surface sounds unsanitary. Also, you need an industry size refrigerator for the workshops. The tools Selmar needs are also important but is there a place that the equipment might be rented from in the mean time?

Anonymous

After much thought I decided there's a possibility of a 2 for 1 deal. If Selmar gets the proper equipment, he could design and build a new kitchen surface that would take care of the water situation. Therefore, I must vote with Selmar.

Anonymous

I vote for Selmar!

Anonymous

Tough choice, but fridge is first!

Anonymous

First I thought frigo, then kitchen counter tops, but it does make sense to get the tools first so Selmar can rescue the kitchen counter tops! Very sweetly presented by everyone.

Anonymous

Nite. Nite. I vote for the fridge #1/the chainsaw, etc.#2/the sink area#3. With some thrifty deals, you may be able to get #1 and #2 in one go. Waiting for the final vote. p.s. I agree with Isabelle regarding the hygienic aspect of the wooden and constantly wet counter /sink tops and hope that that area can be fixed before Thanksgiving or Christmas. Re: the fridge. From my initial introduction to the kitchen back in March, I marvelled at how small the fridge was for such a large and busy home. I can understand how it must drive Marie wild especially when workshops happen or the chateau is filled to the brim. Tools for Selmar to do his magic makes sense. But, alas. I only get one vote...Fridge. LOL and hugs to all. C

Anonymous

Watch her older video breaking down where the money goes. At the end of the day there's a endless list of where the money could go, like the unfinished rooms which could increase the bnb profits, which selmar could fix up with his new tools. Even the threads when the vote was first announced has hundreds of projects that could be worked on 'first'. We know theres some big expenses that are being saved up for, the collapsing terrace, the lake, chapel restoration so there is no more water damage, to start with

Anonymous

All worthy suggestions / needs.

Anonymous

Are the work surface historical or did you put them in ?

Anonymous

After seeing the stacked wood planks, Selmar's request receives my vote. He may be able to build new beautiful wooden bench tops (with graded grooves on each side of the sink to assist with water drainage straight back into the sink), maybe new shelving in there as well. Beyond this important area for the practical functioning, the future possibilities for the whole Chateau, inside & out, will be endless if Selmar has the correct tools to assist his talents / gifts.

Anonymous

Fridge

Anonymous

Boy, all three are great and certainly needed, but dealing with all the family, volunteer, and guest food needs with only a 1/2 refrigerator looks pretty crazy-making to me! So fridge it is. Someone above suggested looking into tool rentals which sounds like a great idea & money-saver for now.

Anonymous

I must vote for the new fridge. The number of people who need to be fed on a daily basis in the chateau is a lot and although I love the littleSmeg fridge the keyword is "little". That size fridge would be perfect for my little condo but is definitely not sufficient for your large chateau. NEW FRIDGE PLEASE!!

Anonymous

Lovely Marie, I hope your request swiftly follows, if Selmar is the winner in this instance. Now that we have seen the very real challenges the kitchen workers & cooks have to manage in regards to the refrigeration issues, we understand the frustration. ( food safety, ease of food entry & exit without wasting time maneuvering it all, continously) No doubt a New Fridge fund will commence very soon. X

Dan Ruggiero

Michael P's father used to install in pools. perhaps he could be coerced into doing one for you?

Anonymous

Selmar first and fridge second

Anonymous

Tough decision for sure! The kitchen would seem to be the most vital part of the house and the problems there most urgent! How much extra time is spent acquiring and moving food around due to the size of the existing refrigerator? Thinking you should start there and then Selmar can solve the problem of the work surface with his new tools next!

Anonymous

Haha. Only once his and Michael’s cottages are done 😅

Anonymous

Go Selmar !!

Anonymous

The fridge for sure. : )

Kelly Douglas

Gosh, you have huge bunnies in France! 🐇🐰

Anna Ibarra

Gosh, Stephanie maybe going out to upload may be a slight sign to go decompress as your view is just beautiful. As for voting, oh my all are so essential. My first thought was for Selmar as he has been such an essential part of the chateau, and plans to stay. But I always wandered how the chateau managed with that fridge. Marie choice must be first as no guests can be without food, and a cook needs a roomy fridge. Happy guests happy chateau. Second Selmar and his much needed tools can also re do the counters / kitchen.

Anonymous

Selmar’s tools first, fridge second

Anonymous

Forget the fridge, get Selma to make a insulated walk in cooler, it’s the best way to store food in a safe organized manner, especially for large crowds. All the food prep, veggies, dairy can be made ahead and then displayed fresh and beautiful for weddings and parties. It reduces food spoilage and is easy to keep clean and organized. So my vote goes to Selma to get the tools necessary for a walk in cooler and new counters for the washing up area. All you need to buy then is a compressor and some insulation for the walk-in cooler, which by the way can be located out the back door of the kitchen. The little fridge in the kitchen can stay then for easy access to milk and drinks for coffee tea, etc. I hope I can one day come cook for you as a volunteer in your beautiful chateau, I will make all the recipes from my Hungarian heritage and my little cafe. Susan

Anonymous

Selmar’s tools

Anonymous

Wow! All are so important. I vote for Selmar’s tools and agree with Anna that he could make new countertops. And the idea to build a cooler is brilliant. Marie needs a decent fridge! So all 3 can happen if Selma gets his tools. I think he needs volunteers to help him with all the projects. Stephanie, Thanks for all your hard work to make, edit, and upload all these videos. Love & big Texas hugs to you

Anonymous

Selmar, Selmar, Selmar!!!! This time. xoxo

Anonymous

I'd have to say 1. Marie & fridge

Anonymous

And 2. Selmar & tools

Anonymous

Selmar's tools then fridge then Selmar refinish sink area

Anonymous

That's one BIG rabbit! In US terms... although I live in Montana so I don't know maybe they're bigger elsewhere in the states. I think I'm pretty partial.. but I'm voting for Selmar... he's already done so many improvements with the chateau from all the reclaimed things he has found. Not that the other things are unimportant. My second vote is for a new fridge. I have often wondered where the other fridge must be and I am pretty bewildered to find out that is pretty much it.

Anonymous

SELMAR! Tools first then, refrigerator second ,and counter tops could then be done by Selmar with his new saws and tools.~k

Anonymous

When you think about the cost of each, it seems to me that least expensive is a stainless steel washing up area. Next, would be wood-shop tools (lets be honest, Selmar need some quality equipment to get all of the work done that needs attention at the chateau. Lastly and most expensive would be a proper, professional walk-in cooler. Now, a larger fridge would be nice, a proper cooler will allow for proper catering capabilities at the chateau in future and a nice place to store flowers for events as well.

Anonymous

OK at review of the footage...just look at the sink area...4:30 min. see the black stain around the sinks! It is obvious there is an IMMEDIATE need for a stainless washing up area. This is currently a wood (not teak) surface that is black from constant wet...HEALTH safety demands the basics that food related areas be dealt with first. MY VOTE>>>stainless steel washing up area #1 now,

Anonymous

Definitely selmar

Anonymous

Selmars tools get my vote....😊

Anonymous

I think that if 20K means only 10K once taxes are paid then you could do the fridge and the granit counter tops, taht should cover both. My heart would go to the workshop because I think it's so important to have the right tools and all that wood will never get used otherwise and you will have to go BUY some ! Maybe the fridge/counter top first then the workshop for the 21K ( 10.5k after tax) Either way Lalande wins ! xoxoxoxo ps you are ALL bonkers !

Anonymous

Selmar could really put some power tools to work with so many projects as he has such tallent. The washing up area, however, needs to be stainless not a wood product because of the constant use of water used in a professional kitchen. The problem they have now is water damage to the wood counter tops in such a busy kitchen. Hope you are safe and dry there in Texas. Hear the storm made a real mess in some areas.

Anonymous

It’s very thoughtful votes to chose from but in truth Selmar has my vote. It very important to economise for the Chateau and the future. With wood in abundance from the forest ,tools are a necessary for minimising costs.

Anonymous

Tools for Selmar! Give that man the right tools and then sky’s the limit. Xxx

Anonymous

Tools for Selmar, then the fridge then the washing up area. Thank you for ALL you do!

Anonymous

Tools for Selmar!!!!!!!

Anonymous

P.S. Love the fridge you have!

Anonymous

Tools for Selmar 💫✨💫

Anonymous

Selmar's tools can help to put in a work surface a little later. Then a big fridge and separate freezer. So, I vote with Selmar's tools. Sorry, Mummy and Gerry. I love you. :`(

Anonymous

Aw, give the poor girl a decent fridge!

Anonymous

Selmar’s tools!

Anonymous

OMG.. My first time to vote as a new Patreon. I would like to vote for the 3 of them coz they are all so important. I think it's all possible Stephanie. But if I have to choose one only then I'm for SELMAR'S request coz he can create many things that are very useful for the improvements of the chateau. Cutting those wood with the proper tools and a work bench is so essential for him to create those beautiful things. Then 2nd I vote for MARIE'S big fridge. The DANCING KITCHEN sink worktop for NATI can be made by Selmar. But the best is a concrete polishtop. I saw it in other DIY TV shows about kitchen renovations. Really nice! Heavy duty and less expensive. If I can suggest which one is the next project after the Chapel and then the lake. I prefer to do the balcony where the pergola standing. Instead of the pool. Coz as Stephanie mentioned in one of her vlogs that the soil underneath is sinking and needs reinforcement. Also that is where the guests sitting and the la Landers have a great time for banquette, breakfast, lunches, dinner and BBQs. Also it needs cosmetics like the stairs up to the balcony. Planting Roses (climbers) hydrangeas and other flowering plants. I think the pool can wait a bit but she can already ask about the price and the possibility where to install. Thanks a lot and my husband and I were so happy and enjoyed watching all the vlogs. With you updating what's happening in Lalande. With so much fun and laughters. Big hugs and kisses to all💋💛💜

Ramon

who is this guy in pink? where is scotsman?

Anonymous

Selmar's workshop is the most common sense for now. He can build a new wooden work top for the kitchen and later a fridge for the kitchen can be purchased for the kitchen with all the money saved! As one commentor said, utilize Selmar's skills! Thanks so much for making these blogs!!

Anonymous

The wood workshop complete with tools would have a long-lasting benefit to the Chateau. Not only would this be the most environmentally friendly source of wood for a multitude of projects, but the other benefit is sustainable management of the woodland by the thinning out of trees to enable the regeneration of the forest. A vital habitat for the local flora and fauna.

Anonymous

Selmar gets my vote and I hope he would also get safety equipment for the chainsaw and training as cutting trees can be very dangerous . Here in the UK you have to go on a course and receive a certificate.

Anonymous

I vote for Selmar’s tools!

Anonymous

I vote for the tools x

Anonymous

I wonder if Selmar could mill a new kitchen surface once he has his tools? My second vote would be for the fridge. Also, that hare is huge! The ones near my house are so much smaller!

Anonymous

Selma can make a new countertop is just given the tools! It’s a two-for-one special in my opinion.

Anonymous

You are all mad! Marie's fridge is the most important! How can she cook orgasmic figs without a large fridge to store them!

Anonymous

Selmar definitely so he can continue with the plans - Chicken Ville. The fridge and washing up/dance area need commercial input - sink area definitely stainless steel have you another room that could house them both and maybe the current wash up area could be a walk in pantry!!! Such happy days I really enjoyed the latest Chateau Diaries so wonderful to meet more people sad that Tomaz has gone but I expect he will be back. Selmar needs a helper with all the work planned, LeLande is certainly thriving happy place shall look forward to the results of the voting🍾🥂💕🦄

Anonymous

PS to my earlier vote - if Selmar had the proper tools he could fabricate the countertops. If he used wood they would require marine varnish like on yachts and ships. In residential kitchens I’ve spec’d wood countertops with multiple coats of marine varnish. Stainless is great too if the funds are available. All 3 needs are hugely important 🙌🏼💝

Anonymous

That hare is huge! :) its so wonderful! thanks for sharing! :) :) :)

Anonymous

Stephanie- that is not a little hare, it is HUGE!!!! Wow, thanks for sharing!

Anonymous

Would there possibly be enough funds for all three projects? I know that a portion goes to Patreon, and a large portion goes to taxes. However, I'm thinking that with careful selections, all three could be done. If not, I vote for the sink area.

Anonymous

Selmar can make the new work surface!!

Anonymous

Selmar's saws are my vote. The others seem important too!

Anonymous

I know the pain of inadequate fridge space! We use a camping fridge for the overflow in the summer. As much as I love Selmar ideas I vote for the fridge.

Anonymous

This is way more difficult to decide then I thought. As much as I want to vote fridge I believe that Selmar's request will cost less, happen faster, and then all funds can be swiftly put towards an industrial-size kitchen fridge. Is there not a little extra to buy another "small" used fridge to get you through the next handful of months? When it comes to the counter I definitely vote stainless steel. I know that isn't necessarily Chateau fancy but it is definitely the most hygienic for cleaning purposes.

Anonymous

A big part of the income for this chateau are the workshops and the B&B guests - who all expect great food and drinks. They should have at least one freezer and a few refrigerators, so my vote is for the refrigerator. However I would also agree with others - why can't the 20 grand pay for a few of these projects??

Anonymous

Vote for Selmar! With the new power tools he could fix the workspace until something more permanent can be purchased. It would be the gift that will keep on giving!

Anonymous

Hi Kasi, the $20,000 isn't necessarily just going to one of these goals. Stephanie has made two videos of the breakdown on how the Patron money is being spent. The Lake survey (which is thousands of dollars), the gravel for the courtyard (also thousands), the crumbling terrace, doors, the building rendering, etc. The goals are much more symbolic and it gives us a chance to decide on what to buy next and it's fun : ). In time the hope is to eventually take care of all these goals. I hope this helps.

Anonymous

Selmar gets my vote. And you might consider using A cordless electric chainsaw. I have one and I’m really happy with it. And it’s very user-friendly. I also agree that when it’s time the worksurface in the kitchen should be stainless steel. And I bet Selmar could install that

Anonymous

And that is one large bunny. Mine are 1/3 that size in my area

Anonymous

Love all 3! I’m a kitchen designer and was debating between the fridge and work surface- My vote is the new Kitchen Work Surface.

Anonymous

My vote goes to selmar. He makes such a diffrance to the chateau with his untold skills. Making his work easier with new tools I think will be a great investment.

Anonymous

That looked like quite a big hare to me. I think Selmar gets my vote, though the other things are also important. But he could do so much with a saw. His piece for the Marquis bedroom was so beautiful.

Anonymous

While I know you feel safe where you are, it would be so much safer if you went out there in pairs and with pepper spray. Remember that the world knows where to find you and crazy people are known to show up at people’s homes. I worry about you and Marie. There are no dogs to alert you to strangers. Please be safe!

Anonymous

I vote for Selmar & the carpentry which will enable you to do so much at very low cost. A temporary solution to the fridge could be an electric cool box - we cater for 50 on a canal trip boat and find it invaluable. Really though want you to have it all xx

Anonymous

Stephanie, I don't know if you will see this. I'm a little embarrassed but just wanted to share with you how much I enjoyed that hare. Something about the craziness of the Covid lockdown, and insane weather we have been having in Mexico has been so stressful. I saw that cute hare, and tears flowed. It warmed my heart so much, as many things that you discuss and vlog to us do. Thank you for being who you are a bright, delightful, positive light in what this year has been a far too dark world. Oh, and I think your moving forward to eventually have a pool is fantastic. We totally support you in that. Hugs!

I voted for a new counter top for the washing up station! But....how many of you went on H&M’s website and ordered the blue and white “wallpaper”dress Stephanie got for her birthday? I went on there and put it in my cart and went back the next day To pay and they were sold out of every size, only in the blue option! Luckily I found one today at our local store! I feel like I have a little piece of the chateau now! Lol! And it’s super comfy and gorgeous too!

Give Selmar the tools and he can create magic. He's got my vote.

I really want to vote for all three !!! Thank you for the beautiful Hare <3 All I could think of was Watership Down <3

Hé Selmar...je gaat winnen😊

A vote for the carpentry workshop equipment means that it could be used to create a new worksurface and thus hit 2 goals with 1.

Carpentry workshop tools for sure! Such a great long term investment :)

Selmar all the way! I would say spend the €1,000+ or whatever the sum is on the workshop, so that other projects can be done and save money in the long run.... Keeping things in-house rather then a outside trade. Also, if the workshop wins, setting up a monthly budget for it. Say €200+ per month, to help buy and replace tools and items that are needed, so it becomes an ongoing project...

Oh Stephanieeeeee what a great video again‼️❤️ I thought about each vote choice long & hard while waiting for 2 days until the video was able to play for me here in MICHIGAN. We have been getting a lot of hurricane effect wind & pop up storms so I blamed it on that. 😉 Once Selmar wins heehee it will be easier for him to MAKE your countertop base for the stainless steel top right⁉️😁 🔨 Once I seen the 🐰 looking right at you I just KNEW it was a delightful messenger from Michael telling you “hello”. 👋

Workshop. If selmar had this he could fix worktops in kitchen. A seconhand fridge could be got in the mean time and put in an out building for the over spill of food when there are a lot of guests.

By the way when's Percy coming to L.L x

Oh and once again What is that contraption in the kitchen between the old stove and new cooker....it has chsins on it. Love you all chris v.

Christine. The South African borders are still closed due to COVID. There are no flights out so Percy can not travel.

100% workshop tools for Selmar. Thank you for a delightful vlog as always.

I’m so excited about the upcoming improvements to the chateau! What an honor to be part of it, and thank you for the darling clip of the hare hopping by. 🐰 Moments like that are priceless!

FRIDGE!

Definitely, Selmar and his carpentry workshop.

I see a bottle of Mrs Balls Chutney in the fridge. Must be Percy's South African influence! That's a staple in every SA kitchen.

Selmar and then he can make a new worktop too!

My vote is for the workshop. I agree that the other items are important, but I know from experience how important it is to have the right tools in the workshop. I’d like to see more tools added as well as the table saw and chain saw. Selmar needs a planer, a compound miter saw, a biscuit joiner,

My vote is for Selmar's tools!! Essential for the current chateau projects (including Nati's countertop) and think of all of the things he could make in the future!

I vote for Selmar's tools

A gift for Selmar is a gift for the world!!!

I think this is the hardest vote session for me because they are all very important options. Can Selmar make a new work surface for the arriere kitchen with the wood in the shed? I will vote for Marie's fridge first though because food is important and so is Marie.

Stephanie, we were born in the Chinese Year of the Wood Rabbit (1975). I have been visited by little bunny rabbits in my yard and along trails to the beach many times this summer, and I feel like they are a sign of good luck for us. https://www.yourchineseastrology.com/zodiac/wood-rabbit.htm

Little hare? Looks like a kangaroo! LOL

I must admit, I would have voted for Selmar's workshop if I had been a patron at the time. However, Marie's fridge is now surely on the way! Could Selmar use his workshop to create a new kitchen bench top? Not sure if that is something he could do, but worth thinking about! Thank you for the video!
