Here's a little something from Lalande to all of you, as a celebration for reaching $7000 on Patreon!

I'm going to think of downloadable gifts to give to all of you whenever we climb by another thousand. Please let me know what sort of things you would enjoy receiving!

These plans aren't quite complete. We have no complete architectural drawings of the chateau, so a good friend of mine (Kim) made these so that we could allocate bedrooms for parties! So they show all of the bedrooms and main reception rooms - I think that only the dining room, study and kitchen corridor are missing.

I'll also upload a photo of the ground floor plan from the remodelling of the chateau in the 19th century, but I'll have to attach that tomorrow as I'm currently sitting in my car in the darkness to upload tonight's Q&A video, so can't take a photo of it! You'll see why the Q&A video is so late when you watch it! ;)

Thank you Steph! You’re posts really keep me going :)

Evelyn McElroy

Great idea! Thanks. I worry about you out there in the dark!

This is really neat! I always was confused by the kitchen doorway being on the other side of the chateau than the rest of the enfilade, now I see that is actually how it is.

Anonymous

I love these! Slowly over the past few months I’ve been piecing where in the Chateau you are in vlogs - but my Virgo brain loves a floor plan! Thank you!

I have an idea of downloadable content. Photos of Lalande that can be screen savers or phone backgrounds. They can even be some of your iPhone photos, doesn’t have to be Micheal Pott’s lovely professional ones :)

Anonymous

Thank you for these Stephanie! Fantastic. An idea for another gift might be an HQ downloadable photo of Lalande that we could then have printed online somewhere like Photobox if we’d like to display it?

Anonymous

Great minds think alike! I just suggested the same thing! 🙂

Drone photos of the chateau and grounds!

I love this. Thanks Stephanie. It’s great to see the layout after seeing the videos to put everything into perspective. Am I mistaken or did we not see the Chambre au 4 fenetre in your walk through.? Must go back and check. Interesting your bedroom is referred to as the chambre de la comtesse I don’t remember you referring to your room using that name. Any history or story behind it.?

For some reason I always thought the Winter Salon was between the main stairs and the Grand Salon. It’s great to see how it actually is laid out. Thank you for sharing Stephanie!

Thank You! 🌼 🐝

I think that's the green room with the funny gothic doorways, formerly Nic's and about to be Michael's. Stephanie mentioned that both his room and hers have windows on both side (front & back), so I guess that's where it got its name...

Thank you! Like Daniel above, I've been trying to piece together the layout. Now I feel (almost) like I've actually been there!

Denise Behrends

I see that I am in the good company of others who have been trying to piece together the puzzle of the chateau floor plans! I cannot count the number of times I have paused the vlog footage of the interiors and exteriors in order to have a sense of the layout. These plans match very closely what I envisioned. Brilliant gift! Thank you so much, Stephanie!

Whew! I've been lying awake at night trying to sort this out. Now I can go back to counting sheep. So far I've seen six.

I wonder if when Marie visits, she might do a mini-tutorial on the art of flower arranging. All of her floral designs for the chateau have been so lovely! Amy

Count me as another one who has struggled to figure out the layout of the chateau! Even after all the tour vlogs, which helped immensely, I still wasn't totally sure of the layout or which outside windows matched up with which rooms. If I had a dollar for every time I paused your intro so that I could study the exterior from various angles, I'd have enough money to travel there and see it all for myself!

Anonymous

Thank you for all your posts, Stephanie! They are truly a break from the stress that is plaguing many. Adore your vlogs and all the extra we get here! xx

Denise Behrends

Yes!!! Pausing the exterior views of the doors and windows from the intro video and matching those up with the views of the interior rooms in the various vlog episodes. I too have been obsessed!

Thanks for sharing this Stephanie. You have such a beautiful project going at Chateau de Lalande! :D I am an Architect and Structural Engineer from Malta and have been loving your YouTube Videos since subscribing 2 months ago. You have so much beautiful content to watch! Really hoping my boyfriend (who happens to be a very handy engineer) and I, brother and sister-in-law can come as workawayers this year or next year or at least come over as B&B guests for a few days. I really got them hooked to watching The Chateau Diaries because renovations, gardening and homekeeping is definately their jam. Can't wait to progress in our personal projects in Malta so we can eventually make it to Lalande.

A sound-bite of the Peacocks would be nice as a celebration marker. Maybe convert it into a mobile text-alert sound!

Thankyou so much Stephanie you are so very thoughtful. I love viewing the plans, it gives a clearer perspective on where the rooms are.

Thank you! and I am beyond excited that the gardner is starting! Mummy must be so happy! And we must get to $8000 soon! so the mower will be hers😀

Thanks for all you do to provide quality vlogs and for increasing the number during COVID-19. It’s a lot of work and very appreciated. If possible, would love to see more of Nic and Marie’s apartment when convenient. Take care and stay safe!

I am very much also enjoying reading the comments of other Patreon people. HELLO EVERYONE ❤️! It is fun to see who else your shares have sparked a passion for support in. We look to be an interesting and diverse group. I am looking forward to meeting all who can come when you have your first Patreon gathering at Lalande (but Stephanie, you must let us also come and help you get any event set up & organized as well :) -half the fun will be being able to pamper you a bit in return as thanks for the joy you are sharing from your home to ours). -x.M

I love reading the comments too. We are from all over the world. We are a very caring community. I was thinking of organising an event here in New Zealand as we are so far away but it would be nice to met each other and maybe Stephanie could join us online. Just some ideas floating around in my head at 2:39am when I woke after an interesting dream. 🤣😂

Hi Stephanie, you asked us to think of another 'name' for another tier (the $50.00/mo) tier what about "Grand Mademoiselle/Monsieur" or perhaps a famous French author like Alexander Duma's, Pere.....Matiesse, or Monet Level? Just a thought that might give your imagination a boost LOL.

I can't wait for the lake and to help you restore every bit of this place!

Anne Green

Hello again Stephanie having just watched your latest video I would love to offer my services to organise craft fayres at the Chateau 🥰 I currently have a craft Fayre business here in the uk 🇬🇧 & a handmade craft gift shop

Thank you for sharing these floor plans with us!

I can’t believe you are early at $8,000! 😊

Bonjour Stephanie! I would love some of Marie's cooking recipes as a treat for patrons. Thank you!

I think a portrait gallery of Lalande would be nice! Like wallpaper ready photos of the château and surrounding foliage.

Bonjour Stephanie! I discovered your channel the day your first quarantine vlog was released. I sincerely appreciate all that you and your charming family and friends are doing to make the world a better place. Les recettes de Marie seraient les plus appréciées s'il vous plaît.

DOWNLOAD IDEA - A holiday photo of the mainstays - Stephanie, Isabel, Gerry, Percy, Michael Potts, Nic (with a bag of course), Marie and Antione. Even if you have to photoshop everyone in! Maybe wearing reindeer antlers or Santa hats. Something a bit fun and zany.

Bonjour Stephanie, Nicki Positano mentioned your vlogs in one of hers and I have been mesmerized watching just a few days worth of content. I can't believe what a massive undertaking it will be to restore the Chateau. I am in awe of your talent and joie de vivre. Bon chance avec toute.

A thought on the Titles for 4 levels of Patreon - Level #1 - Lords & Ladies # 2 - Visconte & Vicontesse #3- Conte & Contesse # 4 - Marquis & Marquise.

Anonymous

Yes, from what another commenter said about the tiers in France, this seems like it would make the most sense. I actually think she should do a $5, $20, $40, $60, and $100 tiers. Lords, barons, viscount, count, marquis. Not sure if barons are over viscounts, though, or vice versa.

Thank you so much, I was getting confused and this helps. Will you make plans of the other areas ... past the kitchen?

Carrie Miller

I don't see the historic floorplan? Where did you post it? Is it in a comment or somewhere else on patreon?

Anonymous

Stephanie, I’m curious with the historic plans why the chateau wings wouldn’t be square to each other? It seems right for an old chateau to not be square, but I’m still curious why? Any ideas? Certainly they had the ability to do so, so it seems it might have been a deliberate choice?
