Hello Everyone! Here's the second video of the apartment we're hoping to start work on this year. This time I show you the bedrooms upstairs. There are currently three bedrooms and one bathroom, and I'd like to reduce that to two bedrooms and two bathrooms, to make it a little more spacious.

Just to remind you all, the funding for this project isn't coming from you, our wonderful patrons. We're going to focus your contributions on the chapel, lake and interior panelling, areas that we couldn't have tackled without your help. Our personal funds will be used to - bit by bit - continue to decorate and improve the chateau. My co-owner, the Elusive Nic, wants to restore this apartment, which he'll use with his family on his visits. When we first moved in, back in 2005, Nic and I both lived full time at the chateau and he chose a modest bedroom above the kitchen for himself (unlike me! I chose the entire first floor of the central wing of the chateau, to make a bedroom, bathroom, dressing room and walk-in closet 😳)

Nic didn't feel he needed anything grand, and he loved his quirky bedroom under the eaves with windows onto both the courtyard side and the chapel/lake side of the property - as well as crucially, being near the kitchen! But now he has a beautiful wife and son, and needs a little more space!  Once it's completed, we'll also be able to rent this apartment out to generate more revenue when he's not here, which will help to fund the restoration of other areas.

Thank you again, I'm feeling such a wave of support from around the world and it's giving me an enormous amount of energy! 💛💛💛

Love,

Steph x x x

I’m so happy that you are “feeling the love” from your devoted fans. Your vlogs have been so inspiring for me, because I have a new energy for decorating my home in a new style. My little bungalow isn’t quite the enormous project as yours, but I think it’s looking very cozy and comfortable in its new look. Thank you Stephanie for my new found inspiration, living vicariously through your energy, family, friends and spirit. My life is so much richer since finding your vlog. Thank you, thank you, thank you...right back at cha girl. With love from Central Iowa, USA.

Your energy and enthusiasm is so infectious. We are currently building our Forever Home here in Vancouver. Albeit it’s modern and not a 16 th century Château like Lalande, I can sympathize with all the work and love one needs to pour into it. Keep on posting. Btw who is staying there atm?

Stephanie, do you know what the color of your kitchen paint is called? That creamy off white/yellow is so pretty.
