Hello Everyone!  I wanted to give you all a sneak peek of an area that we're hoping to start work on this year. This won't be funded from this Patreon Page, all of the money that you're so kindly sending to us is going towards the Lake, Chapel and Grand Salon panelling projects. This is an area of the chateau that my co-owner, the Elusive Nic, is going to restore as his contribution. He'll stay there with his family on his visits, and we'll be able to rent it out to generate more revenue when he's not here. He got the idea from Michael Potts who renovated his apartment in the old Groom's Quarters and Tack Room this year - and I'll be able to show you the results of that renovation soon! He'll also be renting out his apartment when he's not here. But even though the funding for this project isn't coming from our patrons, I thought you'd be interested to see areas of the chateau that aren't usually seen, and get an idea of what we're working on behind the scenes. After being here for 15 years we're finally being able to tackle projects we've been dreaming of for all this time!

Your support is AMAZING! Thank you! Don't hesitate to tell me whatever other things you'd like to see :)

Love,

Steph x x x

I am curious what you are using it for currently or who is using it as it seems very functional? Definitely can use your magic wand in the decor department though:) I can't wait to see the final results!

Has a lot of potential. Needs to be glammed up. Need to ho back in time. Thanks for sharing! About the lake. Why is the survey needed first? Is there any legal avenue you can pursue? We can refill it with our tears.

How exciting. Maybe Nick would rent it out to us who are planning our 2021 visit

You know, I find it quite charming as it is. The view out of the front door and the large windows sure help.

Oh that really will be a gorgeous spot when it is renovated... how exciting.

Love the apartment!!! Really enjoyed the tour of your grounds and the lake. I believe it's still a lake even without the water. Of course it's coming back. You'll make happen. Your positive and hopeful message is infectious. I am inspired by you and the joy you give to others. No wonder you have all these people who flock to you. Thanks for bringing us along on your life adventures.

How many apartments does the chateau have? So far we have heard of 3. I'm amazed and surprised at how big the chateau is and look forward to watching the transformation as you restore more of your beautiful chateau.

Very cool apartment! The entire chateau is so warm and charming. I enjoy all of the episodes! It's a great escape. Thank you Stephanie for sharing your home with us.

You have such wonderful and creative ideas for making these spaces both beautiful and able to serve dual purposes!

The apartment is going to be spectacular!

I hope sometime you show the blueprints for Lalande. I have a architectural book about Jacques Gabriel the architect that built the Petite Trianon. His architecture is stunning and it amazes me how something can go from mind to paper and then to reality.

Anonymous

Oh sometimes you should take us on a tour of the Trianon and Versailles. Or maybe other works of Jacques Gabriel. Just tossing out some ideas.

Anonymous

Sorry, I was talking about Ange Jacques Gabriel. Although his dad was a incredible architect to.

Lovely! I hope I can someday stay in one of the apartments. Keep going, Stephanie!

I am so pleased that you have been able to use your Patron money to pay bills and eat during this strange time we live in. Some day I would love to hug your darling Mummy... thank you for all of the videos and your sharing your wonderful decorating ideas. How I wish you could visit me and help me decide which walls can go and how to change my home. Hugs to your Mom and to Michael !!

Love before and after projects-who doesn't

Right, Stephanie, there was a video way back from last fall, before all this global quarantining happened, where you said you'd make the last two door curtains going from the red dining room to the entryway room over winter. And I'm wondering...did that happen? :D That could be good for vlogging...maybe you could invite the Intrepid Chatelaine Erin and others who were asking you to learn...like a curtain-making vlog. For the viewers benefit! I know a few commenters were requesting a tutorial, and I agree that I'd like to see such a video. In case I need to make fabulously long and luxurious curtains someday. Michael Petherick was talking about getting pelmet-making help from you in one of his last vlogs... maybe you could have a whole curtain/pelmet/window treatment-making workshop for all the chateaux friends :)
