In this episode I talk about video games.  A common complaint about Easy Update is sometimes I don't talk about video games so in this episode I talk about video games.  For an hour and a half.  Straight.

Love how Ian starts off with a serious voicing then completely changes back to his everyday voice about 8 minutes through

EasyAllies

Lol yeah, the voice kind of slowly slipped away from me there. My throat was SO TIRED by the end of this thing.

This is actually great.

Anonymous

I see what you did there hahahaha

Anonymous

Good choice of music. Top notch as ever

I always think of the beginning of Face/Off when I hear the Hallelujah chorus.

Anonymous

LMFAO!!

Anonymous

Haha, I see the comments about that and think, do you even know what easy update is?

Anonymous

Ian this was great. I listened to the whole thing while hanging out and exploring on one planet on No Man's Sky. Well done sir.

Anonymous

LOVE YOU, Ian!!! This is so funny.

Hey Ian. You always talk so much about video games in your uploads. Why don't you do some creative/crazy/fun things for a change? ^_^

Anonymous

This is great haha! Thank you Ian

I put $250 into Bloodstained, I can not wait.

I played Dark Souls while listening to this. Made my way back from Blighttown back to Firelink, and then got me an enchanted ember. I proceeded to farm a few blue chunks to upgrade my longsword to enchanted +3. Not because it's good, but because I've never used enchanted stuff before. Normally, when you have the intelligence for it, you can just deterraform everything with sorcery anyway - so this time I skip the casting part. ...I love this game... Oh, and I very much enjoyed hearing you talk about your steam library !

No mans sky is great as zen like game with sometimes great moments... But don't upload your discovered stuff it causes crashes and I lost my 20+ play time to a corupted save that kills it for me.

Anonymous

If you were trying to make this boring, you failed sir. I loved it.

Anonymous

wtf it cut off my comment but Ian if you like fallout 1 and 2 style games I would recommend Underail. It's a massive time sink as those games are but I love it and no bugs. The writeing is awsome with hilarious meta humor. And lore hidden away for those paying attention there is even a hidden faction you can join which vastly alters how you see the game world. And in what other game can I select as answer "to have you ever hurt yourself?" "Yes Sometimes when my own grenades land too close"

Like, Ian, you, like, talk about, like, too much, like, video games. 8)

Anonymous

Like how he just throws in there someone pointed an m16 at him and then just moves on to the next game. Ahhh if I wasn't a fan before shit that sentence along would of won me lol

Anonymous

Ian, i Love you. Plz, never change.

Anonymous

You'll never have to film again! You can just use your mad editing to cut this video up into new episodes moving around words and phrases. Brilliant forethought.

Probably listened to too much of this. But srsly, Ian, you should give A Machine for Pigs another chance if you liked Esther and Gone to the Rapture. It's also made by The Chinese Room. It's focused on story and subtle details more than the first Amnesia, and the ending sequence is what pulls it all together. Also has another excellent soundtrack from Jessica Curry.

Oh Ian. I see what you did there. Keep doing what you love man....don't listen to the "I don't get it" crowd.

Anonymous

Ian. You crazy diamond.

Anonymous

Very fast a loose. Needs more toilet arms though, but getting better.

Anonymous

... and here was I thinking that Kyle was the biggest troll among Easy Allies. I admit we cannot complain about the episode being too short and not about video games, huh? ;)

Anonymous

It lacks some annoying, way too loud background music, too. Also, the format works best when the guy who's talking for hours jumps around and makes crazy gestures with his hands all the time. It also helps when you add some seizure-inducing background clips and lots of flickering inserts. And beauty tips. It needs beauty tips. Ian still has a long way to go to become a true YouTube idol with millions of subscribers, but it's a good start.

While I have not yet watched, I do hope there is an adequate amount of Fat Burger plugs...

Sounds like you are taking requests. Next I want an episode entirely about the Cthulhu mythos and your favorite games, books, and movies to use it. Bloodborne really won me with their interpretation on H. P. Lovecraft's work. I always wanted to watch a movie/show that embodied it well, but I haven't good things about anything that tries.

Anonymous

I liked that. Watched it in one sitting while preparing lunch. I would love to have a show where two Allies come together and do something like this discussion/casual style. Not news based as in the podcast, more like a casual review of a few games.

Dude ian hyperlight drifter is amazing, zelda like adventure, dark souls mystery and difficulty and the visuals and soundtrack on par!! And the time of the game is perfect, but that damn samurai what a challenge!!

Anonymous

Ian you petty AF lmaooo!!! Well done.

I'm glad someone else is loving No Man's Sky as much as I am.
