Inspired by The Third Day on HBO and the OG Wicker Man this month we're talking Folk Horror.  But we'll take a pretty wide definition here and include anything from cults to small town madmen.

Think Midsommar, The VVitch, The Wicker Man (1973), A Field in England, The Endless, The Wailing, Apostle, and to a certain extent Blair Witch Project, Don't Look Now, Antichrist...

Here are a couple pretty comprehensive lists: https://thefridacinema.org/the-fridas-top-folk-horror-picks/

http://www.tasteofcinema.com/2019/the-10-best-folk-horror-movies-of-all-time/

We'll be joined by one of our favorite guests, who happens to be something of a cult expert, Matthew Walden!

What's your favorite Folk Horror?

What's scary about Folk Horror?

Are these the best examples of daytime horror?

Do these movies sometimes have... cozy vibes?

Do some of our favorite kids' horror movies kinda count? Hocus Pocus, The Witches, Ernest Scared Stupid... any others?
