I had some technical difficulties last night because our power kept going out every 5 or 10 minutes due to heavy winds here in LA. So I won't be taking questions today because I need to finish getting ready for our Community Showcase, but I definitely wanted to share this editorial (which is now the full episode) that I shot last week with some special guests. It's )not a very well organized) look at the current state of the studio, but it covers elements that have been improved in 2019 and things we're looking forward to getting in 2020. I'll take questions from this week and last week in the next episode on the 10th. See you then!

Thank you, couch

I remember you guys saying you'd hang the Smash Bros Ultimate banner once all the DLC fighters have been added! Please do!

This was really neat! Thank you for giving us the updated look!

Don't sleep on ergonomics! The adjustable height desk could make a massive difference in general well-being and is something that won't have an instant impact, but is something that is needed over the long term I think. (I swear I'm not a adjustable height desk salesman).

i love this kind of videos, thanks Jones for letting us know what is going on inside the EZA HQ.

Hey there Brandon, It came to my attention that most every EZA show; EZA Podcast, Reaction Shots, Friend Code, all have a post ahead of their weekly or monthly release requesting comments or questions, while Frame Trap and Cup of Jones are the only that don't unless I'm mistaken. Ben instead opts for an email, and Cup of Jones has everyone respond via a comment on the link to the video for the prior week rather than a reminder post. Is there a reason for this difference? I've found that posts ahead of the release of episodes requesting participation is a very good reminder to write in, and encourages engagement in discussions for each episode. Would it be possible to put up these sorts of reminder posts on Patreon for those shows? Love and Respect, Brian from Happy Gaming

Did you stick Bloodworth's Samus 3D lenticular art in the bathroom like Kyle said?

How come one shot in the video is 60 FPS and the rest's in 30? Also, Little Caesar's? Starbucks? Nescafe? Get some QUALITY sustenance, dammit!!! And maybe better methods of preparing it (toaster, toaster oven, hotplate).

I love all the improvements made to the studio over the past year! Great job! Make sure you give that office room some extra love because its the only part of the studio that looks quite sad. I dont want to speak for all the patrons, but feel free to splurge a little more for the office to get a comfortable desk, chairs, equipment etc.

I haven't caught up on this week's cup. So, you may have spoken about this already. Also, it's a lot to unpack, so feel free to answer here. GOTY : Is there a way to make it more efficient? I think you're losing traffic from potential new viewers. I started to think it was a bit that it wasn't out yet. Maybe, you can keep a list of the 'this is definitely going to be nominated' type games and encourage allies to stream them, or, play them in their own time, if they'll like it, to try and mitigate the November crunch to play everything. The anniversary : I have to say, there was a pang of disappointment when you announced what it is. Purely selfish reasons, I'm one of your community, have been since GT. Living thousands of miles a way doesn't change that. However, if the anniversary event is using the patreon funds to give a bunch of people from the US (or with time and money to travel) a really great time with you guys, I think I'd rather give it to charity. I won't be watching because I barely have enough time for things that have allies in as it is. P.S. I know that reads like, rawr I'm angry screw you guys. I'm really not, I hope you guys have a great time, but it's not for me.

I think the 20 minute, edited, GOTY video is the most efficient that they can deliver them without losing sight of the sort of content they probably want to create as the Easy Allies. That sort of content takes time to write and produce as well. I don't think the date released had much of an impact as well, creators like Angry Joe had his one come out around the same time. Don't forget about the time they need to spend off for the holidays with family around late December/early January.

Is there any way to note on your Cup of Jones posts if that episode will be exclusively a video only post? I understand that pre recorded episodes tend to not have audio versions after the fact, but it would be nice to know in advance so I can make time to watch the video feed after the fact.

Hey Brandon. So I know this is gonna be a big discussion on EZA Podcast this week for sure, but as someone who also enjoys Rockstar games (especially their single player offerings in RDR), I have to ask, what does Dan Houser leaving R* means to you as a fan? Do you think it'll affect their future products in a negative way? If future games decide to go for more of a GTA Online / RDR Online route and do away with traditional single player campaign and story, will you still be as excited about them? Once again, sorry for possibly old questions, but as a fellow R* fan I couldn't resist. Thanks and as always L&R

Hi Jones, I finished Batman Enemy Within a bit ago, that and Minecraft Story mode were the only Telltale games I hadn't played. So I knew what to expect in terms of how much your choices actually changed the story. But the story itself was intriguing from beginning to end. I think that it is the best example that I have personally experienced of how effective Bruce Wayne can be without Batman. Having the choice of playing as either one was really refreshing. The whole story with “John Doe” was one that was predictable, in the sense of the overall story arc, but unpredictable from story point to story point. It was another take on a familiar character that really surprised me by the emotional depth that was displayed. I really think more people should give it a shot just for the writing and performances. I have a question, but it has an endgame spoiler in it, so I have left it on this Google Doc; I hope this is okay as people who have not played the game can avoid spoilers easier. Feel free to edit your answer to that question into the document. (I’m trusting no one else edits it as well) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uKtoxSBV8D9NcmvMoDPrFPt-OPq7fzPw6C_Nae69cME/edit?usp=sharing Thanks, Varun Kachhwaha (Va-run Catch-Wa-Ha)

Hey Brandon. Last night on the group stream after your fantastic performance Kyle brought up that a twitch stream of a Live Musical would be a good idea and I just want to say that I think this is an amazing idea and i don't want this idea to be forgotten even if it's just a one time thing.

Came here specifically to see if this had been asked yet.

Heya Jones, My actual question is on the previous week's post. I just wanted you to know how happy your performance on Tuesday night made me. Obviously, everyone who watched that was delighted. But I feel fairly confident believing that I was one of the few who was also singing along at home, albeit nowhere near as wonderfully. Bravo, sir! Also, please ask Kyle how he thinks the upcoming film version of West Side Story is going to end. Thank you.

When the original EZA couch in the green room finally goes, can we have a moment of silence for it's passing?

Man I love me a behind the scenes vid. So cool to see how you do what you do on a technical level. I had a soft spot for the old garage setup but the studio really ramped up production to another level and it’s really grown on me.

Hello Jones, With Silver Squad done and Trials of Mana almost over that's two long stream commitments over. Have you guys considered possibly changing up the Ally combos for these stream shows? For example Ben/Brad/Huber or Kyle/Damiani or Brandon/Bloodworth. Really, I'm open to anything. To be clear, I dont have any problem with the current groups. I just think it'd be fun to change things up now and then and see all the different Ally dynamics that come when it's just 2 or 3 of them playing a game together. I know you and Kyle have plans for what you wanna do next and so do the other Allies probably so I'm not saying this should happen soon or immediately. Just something to consider for the future. Cheers!

Kiraz

Bright Suns Jones! I know that you mentioned (very casually) maybe doing a rise of the resistance spoilercast. Please do! It would be great to hear yours and other allies perspectives on the attraction and the boarding process. It is quite the experience and I’m glad to have had it 2.5 times in Orlando this past week! Be good to you! Kiraz

Mr. Jones, On the topic of Patreon members not experiencing the podcast half-time segment during the podcast.... On the 200th episode, the cut for Patrons returns and then the panel has an inside joke from the podcast halftime. Would you consider sidelining jokes from the podcast halftime running into the regular podcast in the future? I know the regular post becomes available later, but that would mean that I download the podcast when it becomes available, listen to it at least half-way, realize I missed some joke from the panel, and then pull up Patreon or YouTube version a few days later to see what you guys were joking about. I am in no way upset about it, I just like to be in on all the EZA lore if possible. Respectfully, Morgan Mohalla

You do a lot of streams and it's kinda impossible to watch them all, so I always watch EZA Weekly Clips' video. I think it could be a fun idea, if you watched always the latest video during the group stream. These videos are just about 10 min long, very entertaining and a good way to stay up to date, plus I'm sure that everyone would love to see your reactions to these moments. Please? L&R

The way podcast halftime is being currently handled is very odd to me. Take the latest episode as an example: you all come back from the ad read and start making buzzing noises that seemed to be about the ad. Patrons don't have any context for the jokes so we feel like we are missing out on something. What is supposed to be a perk is actually giving people FOMO and we are having to wait a couple days and watch the public version to finally hear you talk about shaving your balls and laugh along with the others about how funny it is. My suggestion would be to record the ads beforehand and then insert them into the podcast that way they don't disrupt the flow of the video. As far as I can tell this is the way Kinda Funny handles their ads so since you're on the same ad network there shouldn't be any hangups about it from the advertising company.

I know I submit this late but I just wanted to ask: Spirited Away won an Oscar almost 20 years ago and yet I feel nominees have not much improved seeing what were nominees for this year and the winner is like a 7 at best. They really should check others outside of their own bubble. I hear people liked Klaus. So your opinion on this matter? - TearjuEngi

as next-gen approaches, will there be a EZA "best of the generation" awards live-stream or top 10 video? including Deliberations/individual picks or lists etc.? P.S sorry if im not following the question asking instructions properly, Im new to patreon
