CORRECTION: I incorrectly said Destiny 2 is the only game included with the Stadia Pro subscription. Samurai Shodown is also included. - Ben

Ben, Brandon, and Kyle go into great detail about both the heartwarming and heartbreaking parts of Pokemon Sword and Shield. There's also excited discussion about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Luigi's Mansion 3. For the HOTTAKE, they try to unpack the messy launch of Google Stadia.

Just some thoughts, not saying anything said was wrong, just enjoying the conversation curry pot and tossing in my perspective ingredients. That cool ghost tower in the Wild Area is actually used for an item that comes with the double pack of the games, but it just summons some Dynamax Pokemon you can't normally encounter until later in the game, so it is still pretty boring. The Daycare Center in the Wild Area is actually super useful, because it allows you to hatch eggs while exploring the Wild Area, and I appreciate the game having two, so you have your other where you just cycle back and forth down a long path with no encounters like the traditional style. The Corviknight Taxi doesn't have an elaborate animation sure, but that also means it is super fast traveling from place to place, and there is at least a cute little loading screen animation just for it. The straight line Gym actually feels like a combination of two awesome Gyms from Black/White 2, and I appreciate it for the aesthetic framing going in a straight line allows, but my personal disappointment with that Gym is how after you finish the big battle, the town it takes place in doesn't become a real town with houses you can go into. I believe someone said the towns in the game are cool, but my opinion is that half of them are so small and empty of any significance beyond another Pokemon Center that they almost add nothing, despite being well themed and visually appealing. These games feel super light on number of interesting NPCs compared to everything from Gen 4 onwards.

Hey I just caught this episode finally, and I wanted to say thanks to Kyle for the shoutout to those of us that are truckin’. I feel that shoutout was meant for me and, not gonna lie, it gave me a little boost. For those of us grinding day in, day out, that little boost goes a long way. So, thanks! It was very thoughtful. 😊
