Box Peek! You are not prepared for where Season 2 will go, so catch up on last week’s episode before things get out of control. One of this week’s comments expressed frustration over how we premiered the show, so we’ll talk about other ways we can promote it and get the word out. The world needs to know! For today’s editorial, it’s Milo time again. I have some fun pictures to show of various excursions the boy has taken lately. Cuteness incoming.

PERSONAL QUESTIONS

THE BANANA FORKLIFT KILLER - I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I was wondering out of all the Allies, who would you trust the least to look after Milo on their own? If you like, you could go through all the Allies and talk about the pros and cons of each of them. JONES - Kyle the least, Don the most. Next question.

DANIEL RIBEIRO - On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the score you would give to each of of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies? JONES - Spider-Man 1, 7/10. Spider-Man 2, 8/10. Spider-Man 3, 3/10. I just rewatched 3 on Netflix a month or two ago and, wow, what a trainwreck. Sometimes just painful to watch.

Last time you said that you want to spend money on Box Peek promotion. I think that this isn’t the best idea. Wait, hear me out. Imagine I never heard about Easy Allies, but saw Box Peek promo and got interested. What will happen after I watch the whole series? Most likely I will browse the channel for more content like Box Peek or subscribe for more such content in the future. The problem is that your channel has nothing else like Box Peek and most likely will never have. So I either leave you immediately, or unsubscribe after a while because video game coverage is not what I’m here for. And Easy Allies will receive no benefits from my short-lived presence. As a Brand Manager, do you think that promoting Box Peek is better investment than promoting, for example, Mysterious Monsters or Easy Allies Podcast? P.S. I realize that you love Box Peek and want to share your love with others. If promoting Box Peek is Brandon Jones’s personal thing then I have nothing against it.

I have really been enjoying the Silver Squad Streams, mostly because of the unique dynamic shared between you and Bosman; Bosman as the series veteran, and you as the series newcomer. For the next game, I'd like to reccomend a shift in this dynamic. I posit Minecraft Survival Mode for your consideration. The short term goal could be building a town, getting to the nether, building a castle etc. Not only would i love to see how Bosman creatively expresses himself in Minecraft, I think it would just be an all around jolly stream, this time with you as the expert leading the way. Could also do wonders in expanding your YouTube audience, who knows. Just a thought, Love and Respect.

You can rename your channel at any time as long as the name isn't taken. So they could've just created a new channel with a dummy name just as a placeholder in the meantime.

Hey Mr. Jones! I know EZA doesn’t have betting specials for The Game Awards as Mr. Bosman works on the show and it presents a conflict of interest in addition to taking up a lot of his time, but with the how well received the style of the Ghost Recon BreakPoint video was, I was curious if it would be an interesting idea to have at least two Allies, but as many would like to join would be welcome, to sit down and make a predictions video about the show? Nothing on the scale of a betting special, but a nice 10-20 minute sit-down talking about the things the various Allies would like to see announced at the show? I’m also not asking about predictions of awards, because I know EZA is a judge so I know there are rules preventing you from doing so. Thanks as always for reading and have a wonderful rest of your day! Cheers! QUESTION: Would EZA be interested in doing a 10-20 minute predictions video about what we could see announced at the Game Awards or is it both too close and not appealing to do? Not asking about a betting special, but a sit-down where as many Allies as would like can talk about what they would like to see that Thursday night.

Jones - Game of the Year is child's play. Have you guys begun planning for Game of the Decade? I would come up with a brief spiel on Box Peek for people that haven't heard of it - "it's a handmade cartoon-inspired comedy series featuring the Allies and produced by Kyle Bosman", etc and tweet that out or drop mentions of it more frequently. The amount of time and effort put into the project seems disproportionate with the amount of tweets and namedrops it gets, plus I think that by just saying "Box Peek" most people don't get it unless they already know what it is. I can imagine newcomers looking at the Box Peek Season 2 trailer and having zero clue what they are looking at

VGJunky

I think that another reason they don't do betting specials for TGA is that as a group they vote for it, not just Bosman's involvement A discussion/predictions video would be a good conversation to see though

I really hope Huber does review Shenmue 3. I know his reaction is infamous, and I know he backed it, but as long as that’s disclosed I don’t see an issue. People joke about Huber and 10’s, but he is always fair when it comes to reviewing a game in a series he loves, and I don’t think anyone could accuse him of having ever done otherwise. There’s nobody's opinion I want to hear more on that game, and nobody’s review that I’d trust more than Huber’s.

Hey Brandon, quick question. This may have been answered in the past, but how come Q&As and Community Showcases don't get uploaded to the Audio feed like most other regular content? I understand that the Community Showcase has some visual elements that I'd miss out on in podcast form, but I generally don't have 3-ish hours to sit down and watch these shows anyway. This is something I'd like to see in the future if it's possible. Edit: Originally had a comment about Huber and Shenmue 3, then realized Brandon addressed a very similar question in this episode, so I removed it.

Mr. Jones, It feels like you and the Allies are too aligned at times in the long form content (FrameTrap and the Podcast). Would you consider appointing or volunteering as a "Devil's Advocate" for future interesting topics that you would all probably agree upon. I feel like the Brand Manager or Cynical Bossman can present a point of view that provides a more robust conversation than everyone just agreeing. Of course I don't want anyone to alter their true opinion, but I think that one sided conversations are becoming more frequent as the allies become more and more attuned to each other. Respectfully, Morgan Mohalla Personal question: Thanksgiving is around the corner....What are you most thankful for this year and what side dishes are you excited for?

Did a quick Google on the dvr thing. Maybe this is it? https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/9296823?hl=en

I'm way behind on my cups of Jones, so apologies if this has already come up: any chance of a Spoiler Mode for Terminator: Dark Fate? If not, did you see it? What did you think?

Since you're a Disney fanatic, I wonder what your thoughts are on Disney + now that it's launched.

Hello Mr. Brandon, i was wondering, Easy Allies have a big library of games, how do the allies request a game to play? you do sign something, fill some form or just say, i'm grabbing this, does everyone has to be agree or just Bloodworth, the game keeper? Thanks!

Hey Jones! Does EZA have any plans for a festive Thanksgiving video or stream? I feel like most everyone should probably be taking the holiday for family, but maybe having a recorded rerun to stream, or something to upload on the holiday that is cozy and good vibes could be festive. Given the nature of the holiday, it would be fun to have each ally bring a small game they are thankful for, play it with everyone, or just talk about it, sort of like a game feast or potluck. Doing so could spread some low stakes and relaxing positivity to combat the current contentiousness that is the game landscape today (especially close to GOTY discussions). Hey, Jones. Am I right in thinking that since EZA switched from stars to numbers a few years back you have never disclosed what the numbers in your review scale equate to? If so, why? and could you share it now, or in the future? I just feel it’s important for context when the numbers mean different things from every outlet. L&R

Hey Jonesy, i've been digging the pre-reviews (need for speed/ breakpoint kinda) you guys have done. Especially when you guys can be a little late with reveiws now and then not that that's a bad thing. Any chance of making it a regular thing? Here's some quick thoughts while you wait for a reveiw, that sort of thing. Thanks

Heya Jones, Okay, um, so like yeah. If I understood you right, you wanted more rhymes? I mean, sure, why not? So if Phase 4 traded gaming for a plow and You traveled to the past. (Don't ask how, man.) Would you stick to growing grains? Or drive some cattle through the plains? Would you choose be a farmer or a cowman?

Did Amanda post her PO Box any where?

Hi, Jones. I was gonna post about Spider-Man, but an interesting question that I believe would help many people - me included - popped up and I didn't want to add that to this, as I feel that would be like double posting. Business question: Can you please say what's the cut-off time for posting questions in Cup of Jones or post a message when you've finished collecting all the questions? Context: You previously said to a similar question that you didn't want to give a specific time for when you collect questions and didn't feel bad about not doing it because people had a whole week to post. Though in truth is around 5-6 days since I have seen many questions asked on Sunday not make it. I think even on a Saturday once, though I might be wrong about this last one. If giving a cut-off time every week is not possible or you prefer not to, could you at least post after the last question you get? Something like: "Brandon here, I grabbed all the questions." or "Finished collecting all the questions. - Brandon" This way people won't post and wait without knowing if their questions got in or not, to ultimately be disappointed if they haven't. I understand it's another thing you would have to do, but I believe the more info and awareness people have, the better. L & R PS. Thanks for the lovely comment last week. I hope the "never-ending loop of appreciation for each other" lasts forever as well.

With recent podcast discussions regarding the worth of worldwide brands and how merchandise is the largest contributor to that equity, we gotta talk merch again. You've rightly stated that the main reason EZA isn't more aggressive in the merch game is the lack of willing labor, so the question is... What's that threshold? When do you say, "I know you don't want to do this, but it's your job". While not a guaranteed silver bullet, merch can greatly increase your annual revenue and awareness. So what will it take before it becomes a mandate, if ever?

Actually, when you guys decided to move the Podcast to Friday’s for Patreon, that was the push I needed to finally start pledging with you all. So happy I did!

Hi Jones, no need to read this on the stream. I just thought you would get a kick of out it. I was listening to last week's episode one morning while packing for an international work trip. I almost forgot to pack my passport until you said "I didn't even know he had a passport" in reference to Milo's trip to Paris. So thank you to Milo and yourself for having my back.

EasyAllies

It's something I've been looking to do more of, but it takes the right game and the right circumstances for the schedules to align. Pokemon has potential, but we're already planning for that to be on Frame Trap. Star Wars could maybe work, but would likely be better to do a Spoiler Mode since it isn't super long. Similar to the dev showcase streams, it's just about finding that right convergence of all kinds of different factors, but I'm going to try to keep it in mind. -Bloodworth

Any plans to cover or stream the Stadia launch? Always interested in Allies impressions for weird new things.
