All movies have cinematography, but not all movies have GREAT cinematography.  This month we're going to talk about those films, or even just those shots, where the visuals really stick with us, and maybe we can figure out what makes the great ones so great.

Kubrick, Deakins, Hitchcock, directors and cinematographers all have their own style, but sometimes you see a shot you just know is going to stand the test of time.

Which film gets your best cinematography award?

What's your favorite single shot in a film?

Which director is known for having a great look regardless of their cinematographer?

Which cinematographers has a great look regardless of director?

There are many choices when it comes to what one can do with the camera, David Fincher films for example use handheld very sparingly, while Paul Greengrass never lets that damned camera rest!  Which directors/cinematographers/combo do you think has cultivated a style all their own?

Anything else you'd like us to talk about?
