This time I got Bloodworth to join me in the new format, and I think we make a lovely pair of silhouettes. This movie/ally pair is a no-brainer, and he brought all the insight and gameplay knowledge I was hoping for. This trailer really put this show on the map for me. A lot of big projects like this can fall apart when the get to Trailer 2, and everything starts to feel repetitive or predictable. Just Ciri's stuff alone makes me get more anticipated for this show. Lots to enjoy over the holidays!

Thanks for this. I love The Witcher series. Read all the books and then played all the games to 100% completion. Trying my hardest to not watch or see anything of this series until I watch it. I enjoyed The Witcher books more than The Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter books. I kept imagining all these epic scenes and fights while reading them and can't praise them enough. As long as they do the source material justice, this will be one of the best TV shows of all time.

Well, I already get Netflix so guess I'll put this in my queue. Thanks for the review, guys.

There's this interview with the showrunner that definitely sheds some light on how they're adapting the saga. https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/the-witcher-netflix-henry-cavill-freya-allan-anya-chalotra-1203389216/ The way I see it it's never a 1:1 reproduction. It's an adaptation to a different media with different constraints. And, source material quality aside, those constraints are actually an opportunity for creativity and craft to shine. I'm excited! Odds are always against any piece of creative work – not every title in the Netflix catalogue is a masterpiece, to stay in this streaming ecosystem alone – but the teasers and this trailers have my hopes high! The bit in the tavern, 'we don't want your kind here'? Damn didn't it feel just right!

I really appreciate Bloodworth's in depth knowledge on the Witcher series on this episode.
