I totally agree with the score! It' s Gears Of War - so easy to just pick up, play and enjoy. However - Campaign wise, the franchise is just going in circles now. It is a fun campaign to go through - but I just don't think there is much to tell or do in this world anymore. Its the same themes, same types of villains, same basic gameplay - The old fan favorite characters are still there - A little open world exploration doesn't change the formula a lot and most of that world is wasteland. so campaign wise - Gears 5 is a good package - but we've almost done all of this before. Gears 6s campaign will probably be the same and finish this story, but after that I think this franchise needs a break - Imagine a future Gears game that actually surprised you! For now it is just more of the same - Not necessarily a bad thing. I just want this franchise to stop "flexing its muscles" and pick up some new skills and tricks.

Good Review.... Im not in any rush right now, but I would enjoy going through this at some point.. Once I get through the last game that is... But honestly though I think the series needs to really break new ground and change up its style if its ever going to be a really respected Top Tier franchise in todays market for xbox...
