I've been looking forward to this since I just finished it yesterday, easily my Game of the Year so far. It hit so many notes that suited my tastes so much, I just loved every moment of it. The originality of everything in the game was so refreshing as well.

I need to beat it tonight that way I can listen!!!!

Fun fact: the actor who plays Dr.Darling also plays in Robin Hood Men in tights

Control hit me at the right time. I had no idea it was something till the eve of the release. Fast forward to 1 week later and I finished to what I felt was such a breath of fresh air. Maybe it's because I've played a lot of games that don't end or lots of fantasy. I was engrossed from beginning to end.

Loved the game! Just unlocked all the achievements. Remedy are just on another level when it comes to these games. Can't wait for the DLC!

Has anyone spoke of the possibility that Ahti is connected to the board in some way? My mind is still racing about this game a week after the platinum haha.

Also, what if the expansion called AWE involves the Bright Falls incident? This game made me want to play Alan Wake and im loving it so far.

I'm curious, what do non-Finns think about Ahti's peculiar comments and especially the Finnish Tango mission? I found them hilarious but as a Finn it just made sense.

IMDB has the actor Matthew Porretta listed as "Dr. Casper Darling / Alan Wake (voice)". At least I didn't find any Alan Wake spoken dialogue in the game, just some mentions in collectibles. Possible DLC?

Thanks a lot for this. I love Control and am about to finish it this weekend. Gonna watch the Review and this Spoiler Mode right afterwards. Will be interesting to see different perspectives about the story, characters and the lore, as well as maybe some things I may have missed. Lovely to see most of the Allies have finished it. The more people in a Spoiler Mode, the better. L&R

I loved this! I have no idea what you're talking about because I didn't play the game yet, and I was distracted by Ian's gorgeous hair... and leg! EZA trying to boost the ratings by showing skin =) L&R <3<3

Hi, on Control's Reddit, the community has posted a lot of info on many threads about possible explanations with a lot of insight and different perspectives. Among a few, Ahti could an Ancient God, another being from the Astral Plane, a member of The Board, a Guardian to The World Tree (there's a tree drawing where he rests on his vacation), etc.

Just to add here, there's a hidden map name titled "St01_MM_04_Marshall_START_Plus_PS4_SM15_Dlc", which alludes to Marshal being in a DLC - either one of the two season pass DLCs below or on an undisclosed one down the line. The Foundation - Explore the roots of the Oldest House and discover strange secrets unknown even to the Bureau. The Foundation doors are open, but some things should remain buried. The Foundation includes new story content and side missions as well as new weapons and mods inspired by the Oldest House's mysterious origins. AWE - The Bureau studied its most dangerous Altered World Events in this lost sector. The records were sealed, the objects contained, and their powers abandoned. Now, the sector is breached and the objects are loose… AWE brings new story content and side missions as well as new weapons and mods to the world of Control. Can't wait to play more and try some of the tactics some of the Allies mentioned - mostly relied on Grip and damage mods, so will be interesting to play using different weapon forms and setups.

About the Former: there's a hotline call from the Board where they basically admit the Former is a former member/piece of them which dissented and was cast out. The way it starts building a network of Altered Items is reminiscent of how the Board are connected to most of the Objects of Power, implying it might be trying to become a new Board? As for the former Director before Trench, let's just say there's enough hints in the game to work out where he is - and he never left the building.
