Hope you guys like the new graphics! Enjoy! L&R

VGJunky

You know shit is serious when I have the need to stop playing KH3 to check the podcast asap

Anonymous

Love the Graphics. Perhaps maybe I would suggest the names of the Allies would appear at the same time, rather than appearing one at a time

Anonymous

I'm so proud of you guys!!!

Anonymous

Apologies in advance, sadly all I'm bringing with me today is criticism. From the premiere of "pro strats only" I didn't really care for it. That opinion has only grown more sour by the episode to the point where I actively dislike it, enough so I had to get it off my chest here. Sorry it isn't exactly constructive feedback, I just don't think it has any comedic or entertainment value.

Anonymous

to be honest i kinda agree haha and usually i'm up for everything. i feel like nobody really understands what it is

Paul smith

No huber it alternates

Anonymous

Love the new intro! Glad you kept the same theme song, I absolutely adore it! Podcast looks great guys!

Anonymous

I love the studio. Ian does need some better (and dimmer) background in order not to contrast too much with the main room. About the pro strat section, I'm really not into it, guys. I don't hate it but it falls totally flat for me. It's mostly confusing to me. Overall, I love the studio guys. Awesome job :)

Anonymous

New graphics and the studio look great! Most criticism you guys already know about (echoing/acoustics, LED's blinking off). But another one I noticed is that the key and fill lighting seem a little dim (Jones and Kyle seem shrouded compared to Blood and Ben in the center). But all in all, great work and super hyped for the new era of podcasts for EZA! L&R!

Max Jahner

I don't know why, but... I'm really glad the word "podcast" still flashes its way in. I remember thinking when EZA was first starting, before I'd seen the first podcast, that it would take me a while to get as hyped from the intro as I did hearing the GT Time intro. "Podcast" flashin' on to the music just felt... Good. It immediately felt cool.

Anonymous

The close-ups, especially with the new gradient lighting in the background, are AMAZING! Only trying to help here: The framing is bugging me a little bit. The desk not centered perfectly, which is totally fine, but I feel like it's close enough that it's supposed to be. L&R.

Anonymous

About the podcast, can you buy a TV or monitor to put on the wall behind you guys that displays the EZA Logo and/or Show logo there? It's awesome so far, but that Wall in the Podcast/Reactions Room feels super empty!

Anonymous

Jiren is the lamest and laziest designed DBZ super character by a mile. He's basically a really buff version of a classic grey alien with zero personality.

Anonymous

Congrats on the studio, Allies!! L+R! One weird criticism-- I feel like the stage setup looks a little dark? Like its not entirely lit? I thought the streaming setup looked perfect and the lighting in the garage was great, so I dunno if it's just me. I'm sure it is, but it almost seems like it isnt a 3-point light setup

Anonymous

The stage makes happy. Going in I remember thinking 'i hope they make it blue' and you made it blue. So thank you for that! Thank you for reading specifically my mind!

Anonymous

ya'll are beautiful L&R

Anonymous

I had different thoughts, of some nice wood in the back to bring in some much needed cozy vibes. But will let the allies figure it out of course.

Anonymous

I'm not crying, you are crying ; ; EZA EVOLVED <3

Anonymous

Set looks great 👌

Anonymous

god bless u all!

Anonymous

I think the problem with Pro Strats is that the best improviser of the group is the one who is asking the question. Jones is the only one who participates, but his angle is to just be angry about it, which is not how I like my Jones. Everyone else seems lost and hesitant to say anything. I think it's good idea, but everyone needs to commit to it. Maybe the panel can look at the questions prior to recording, so they can formulate a response so they won't have to think so quickly on their feet.

Anonymous

This is the 2nd shortest EZA podcast to date with 1st place beating it by a mere 10 seconds (#34), if you do not count Jones' thanking of sponsors at the end.

Anonymous

Dude Yessss Studio looks amazing! sound will get better of course and aww Kyle Love and Respect but Pro Strats should retire or maybe hit the dice roll. Like every week roll the dice to see if Pro Strats makes it another week Recruit me style. The new looks are so hype Congrats you guys

Anonymous

Finally finished listening to the episode. So good! Thank you Kyle for that wonderful shaodao at the end. Once again I have to give tons of kudos to Joe Ellis (@Joe_David_Ellis) for doing such a wonderful job. The guy is worth his weight in gold and it's always so much fun working with him. Looking at how the podcast can be improved, I think the biggest thing for me is that the hosts might not be lit as well as they could. Everyone's a little in the shadows. I also get everyone else's comments about wanting TVs. I think the main reason is because right now things in the background look really clean and clinical, so having two displays would make a big difference by breaking things up. I'm sure you guys have it in your plans though. You had such a short amount of time to set everything up and these things costs money. It's so much easier said than done to go, "yeah buy two 4K HDTVs and the mounting equipment and do this and that." Loving everything else!

Anonymous

Love the changing color and the new graphics! Some feedback: Move the camera ever so slightly to the right and pan a bit to the left to center the desk a little bit more. The strip of light in the left side of the desk is showing but not on the right and that makes the image feel a bit unbalanced (in addition to the metal rig in the top left everybody's already mentioned) Also, please use the bold font for for bet scores in the end, and why not add the blue background from the lower thirds aswell so it's all cohesive? L&R

Anonymous

I really love the stage. It looks very good. I would not pick the light blue lights though. Looks to much like gametrailers I think.

Anonymous

So obviously it was the elongation gun! I'm kind of in agreeance that it's growing a little off, but still happy I could be part of a bit ha. Studio looks awesome!

Yui

Really love the new graphics, but I have some issues with the studio set up. The background looks rather bland and boring especially in the close up shots. The lighting seems really dark, especially on the far ends, and I'm not sure but I think the Allies look a little more red than usual. The desk is off center. I feel like there should be more to the stage/desk to identify what it is we are watching, such as a monitor with the podcast logo. The room just seems kind of lifeless. I also think having the camera zoomed out a bit more might look better. I am really super excited and look forward to more podcasts and seeing more EZA shows use the stage in fun ways.

Anonymous

Love the new studio, congratulations guys! Just feedback on the sound, feel like there's the slightest echo to it, but as you guys said, it'll evolve. L&R

Anonymous

Love it all!

Anonymous

So 'Pro Strats Please' was going to be a "bit-bit" at least until you won a bet huh? ;-)

Anonymous

starting a one-man fanclub for the metal pillar. all hail our new shiny overlord. (also, maybe you could make the lights on your faces paler and cooler-toned to match the background? IT ALREADY LOOKS /SO GOOD/ THO.)

Anonymous

I'm interested in your fantasy league situation Kyle, don't listen to the haterzzz : )

Anonymous

Feedback for the podcast : It looked good but not great cause of the lack of natural light on everyone (maybe crank up the spotlights ? if its not too uncomfortable for the allies). Also the sound was echoe-y but not that much, don't know if it's the room or sound processing. Other than that great job Ian, preparing this in less than a week is already an accomplishment (and installing all the gear etc).

Anonymous

Same panel as Episode #1 in the garage :) The background looks really good in the wide shot but with closeups on most of the positions make it look like the allies and the desk are floating in the sky or something. Not sure what the fix is but the shot on Ben seemed to avoid this a bit more due to the metal structure in the background. That looked more like he was speaking from the set of 1960s Star Trek, which is cool with me.

Prefacing this with the fact that I’m an audio engineer with a deep appreciation for acoustics. Ian hit the nail on the head. What you guys need isn’t “sound proofing.” Instead it’s more along the lines of sound treatment. Really what is necessary is something called absorption. The human ear can hear a large range of frequencies between 20hz and 20khz. I noticed that you guys have mainly put up material in the studio that can really only absorb frequencies above around 2khz effectively. The foam pads you guys have on the ceiling that look to be auralex foam are a good example of this. They really don’t actually do that much. They sort of sell you on a lie, that foam. What you guys really need to do is invest in proper acoustic treatment in the form of good absorption. PLEASE do yourselves a favor and make your lives easier by looking into a company called GIK Acoustics! They not only make fantastic products that are extremely efficient at transforming the acoustics of a space, but they also over wonderful free acoustic advice using 3D renders if you send them pictures and dimensions of your rooms. If you guys invested even just $500-$1000 and into GIK’s acoustic panels and had proper advice on which products to purchase for your space and where to put them... the results would be exactly what you’re looking for. Please do yourselves a favor and stop wasting money on the foam. It does barely anything! Just trying to help :) love you guys and want the best for you! I promise this will solve your issues regarding room reverberation and reflections leaking into the mics in the podcast room. Also you could fix the nasty reflections brick will cause you in the other rooms if you wanted to take care of the streaming room better for example. Good luck! L&R

Anonymous

Studio and new graphics look awesome! Excellent work all around.

Anonymous

I love how high budge the new set looks. My feedback is that it's a bit sterile looking compared to the tone of the show though. I think it'd be cool if you could somehow make the set convey that this is a video game podcast. I understand that you were going for the opposite of homely/cozy on this one to contrast with the garage, but maybe some gaming props on the desk or something would liven it up. The new animation is SICK. Don't read this comment as being negative, just trying to help. Keep kicking butt!

Anonymous

Love the new studio. Only feedback I can think of is that I feel that the panelists could use some more lights on them. Especially Kyle and Brandon look like they are sitting in the dark. Also maybe down the line you could get some TVs with your logos on them in the background.

Anonymous

I have to agree here. There were a lot of echo in this episode and tone-wise everyone sounded more "hollow" than usual.

Danni-H4

Has anyone ever wonder about Kyle for example his "fantasy league", you ever wonder what the hell is he talking about?

Anonymous

Serious question about the Desk LEDs, were they intended to be a GT homage this episode? they looked Very Orange and Blue, Maybe they were supposed to be Red and Blue/White? Just Curious, either way it's cool. I don't think I have any constructive criticisms that others haven't already voiced regarding Audio. May need to Sound Insulate the control room.

Anonymous

Looks great! I was a bit surprised by the lack of EZA branding. I could see a screen on the back wall that displays the EZA Podcast logo that gets flipped out for topic graphics. Or as someone else suggested: a screen for each half of wall.

Anonymous

The shot maybe could be angled a little different? The horizontal part of metal scaffolding is weirdly just a little visible

Anonymous

First change I notice, you are back to making these post!

Anonymous

He is talking about this <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qqDq-0I8UQ" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qqDq-0I8UQ</a>

Anonymous

Looks great with no complaints or suggestions here since I know the studio look is still a work in progress. I’ll give it a couple of weeks to see out it shapes up first.

Anonymous

New studio looks incredible. And I know you guys are going to refine things as time goes on. But quickly, these are the suggestions I have for you guys (I based them on other comments as well). * Make the lighting a smidge brighter (its a tiny bit too dark right now) * Angle the camera up or down a smidge (the scaffold on the top is in frame at a wierd angle) * Put EASY ALLIES logo behind you guys (on the wall. Break it into EASY behind where Jones and Bloodworth are sitting and then ALLIES behind Kyle and Ben). This would give the set more flavor, and is good branding for you guys. * Ian’s room has too much echo (I’m sure you are aware of this). Of course, I know you guys just barely moved in. And I know you will tweak things as time goes on. So we “allies” totally understand and dont mean to come off as being picky. You guys have given us so much, and work so hard. So I think its important to be patient. But just wanted to put out some suggestions for you guys. I also dont want it to come off as only criticisms. Because your actual studio is incredible and looks amazing. Love and Repsect,

Soul

Dude if you’ve avoided movie promotion materials, xenoverse 2 dlc, n this was really gonna be the first time you’d be spoiled to broly good on you. Perhaps they just wanted to save it for the spoiler mode.

Thorfkin

I think I'd zoom the main camera in about 10% to crop out the scaffolding on the ceiling that shoots off to the left. Good set!

William

Just a bit of feedback for you guys: Overall everything sounds great, but I noticed at times Kyle was a little echo-y. Not sure why. That and Ian was a little hard to hear as well, but it might be that the recording booth is still setting everything up haha. Overall , the studio looks great. Congrats once again and great show as always

Anonymous

Upped my tier for this month to join the studio celebrations. I hope you're all happy wiht how it turned out. Looks great! Love you all &lt;3 L&amp;R

Anonymous

Really great setup, congratulations. This is a bit OCD: the scaffolding in the on the top left is not symmetrical. Perhaps changing the camera setup to show more of the table, perhaps with a logo on the desk stand could help. Audio was good, a bit more of an echo when Kyle spoke. In terms of lighting I found that you were not as bright as the background.

Anonymous

Love the design of the studio stage, but agree that it could be better lit. Everything seems darker than it probably should. Also was really expecting to see the EZA logo somewhere constructed onto the stage either via a monitor or via an actual physical prop.

Owen

I think Pro strats only can work... but it's not there yet. I'm not sure what to do about it. Maybe Kyle singles out a specific allie as like the resident expert of the game? and makes them improvise it? -- Or the people submitting stop saying "Should I do this or that?" and make it more "I'm here... What do I do!" Thus making the Allie do the improv.

Anonymous

Congrats on the new studio, it looks really fancy, love all the lights. A monitor on that steel pole in the background with a logo or somthing would be cool. As most pointed out the sound is a bit echoey, other than that it all looks really crisp.

Anonymous

Dear Easy Allies, I understand that the studio is just developing, but please put the camera a little bit higher so Your heads are lower. And zoom a little because you look smaller now. L&amp;R

Stephen Sosa

Studio looks rad, new intro graphics are awesome and professional. My only critique is I agree with Brandon in the beginning where the studio could use a bit more sound-proofing. It does sound a bit hollow (echo). Overall though, super happy for you all and looking forward to the evolution of the space.

Anonymous

I love the new intro and set. It looks incredible. Some additional sound-treatment to standardize the audio for the set and the control room could be beneficial.

Anonymous

Correction on "Next Gen Sound" question, Sony acquired Wwise, so they absolutely going to to do something with sound.

Christophe Fettouhi

CORRECTION: The division 2 is coming to uplay and exclusive to 3rd party stores for epic gamestore. Also It will require uplay when launching from epic launcher just like it did on steam.

Anonymous

Hi Allies! Congrats on the studio! A few thoughts on this first podcast. Sound has a bit of an echo, it was a bit too dark and the camera needed to be a bit zoomed in on the wide shot. There is too much space over the heads. The close ups of some allies, like Kyle, are weird, because of the lights.

Anonymous

I think as far as setting up a joke/entertaining segment it has a tough road ahead. I recall playing a cyanide and happiness game where one person set up a joke with two cards, then everyone threw in a card to finish it off. It really only worked when the joke was at the very end. If the joke happened in the set up, it made for an unentertaining round. I feel like this suffers from the same issue. The set up is funny, therefore the discussion is not. The set up needs to be simpler or more dead pan to give it a chance.

Anonymous

Lighting on the edges seems off. Kyle and Jones were too dark. The zoom in of kyle was awkward. Couldn't understand anything Ian said. And the twitter handles were way too slow with the intros. Otherwise everything was good.

Anonymous

Looooove the new studio. Everything looks fantastic :). Minor whinge though, the Pro Strats Only Please bit is getting a lil tired already with Jones always answering imho, especially with the answer always being the person writing in is dumb. It's a good idea for a bit, but it feels like the jokes response is very formulaic atm.

Anonymous

Kyle, you are the man. Thank you for putting the podcast together and getting such an amazing group of people on every week. Personally, I never knew if the Pro Strats segment was a bit or if it actually was a legit segment, but either way its still enjoyable.

Anonymous

I am in love with the new studio. It is everything I hoped for and more. I really feel this adds tons of credibility and professionalism to EZA. Man I hate to be another person to add to this after such positive improvements, but the Pro Strats bit has become cringfully bad. Plz burn it in a fire. No legs, Kyle, none at all Im sorry. To leave on a good note, I loved this podcast and am so hyped for future content. LnR (no love or respect for the Pro Strat bit, its painful)

EasyAllies

Absolutely, I was noticing that Jones and Bosman were underlit. I've moved the lights out a little and will turn up the brightness for them too.

Anonymous

Can confirm audio being a bit echo-y for my tastes. Still love what you guys do, though.

Andrew Chalmers

The studio looks really good. Love the new logo for the podcast, and I look forward to seeing the studio evolve over time (e.g. sound improvements). Well done allies! Pro Strats still sucks though.

Anonymous

Also, if they put EASY ALLIES on each side of the back wall, we might get a cutoff shot of Kyle with with the word 'LIES' behind him. That would just be hilarious :-D

Anonymous

Loving the new look! And Kyle, yeah I put Tranquill’s Pokédex entry as kind of a troll. I just find it weird whenever Pokémon acknowledges war and that one made me giggle :)

Anonymous

it's such a small detail, but I LOVE that the podcast producer credits actually show the Patreon tier that each producer is pledged at (Show Sponsor, Fan Mail tier, Blood Pact, etc.). I'm so happy that you finally included that detail

Anonymous

Correction: Steam contractually does not allow a game to be listed for a different base price at a competing storefront. That is why Metro could not simply be priced lower on the Epic store to reflect the different revenue split.

Anonymous

Enjoyed the podcast and am excited to see what you guys do with the new studio. Keep up the great work Allies you're doing fantastic! I do want to say something about the Pro Strats segment. I understand what Bosman's attempting to do with the piece is really cool. However, I also understand Jones' confusion as well. I personally think it has to do with the constraints put on those asking the questions by how they must ask the question. Instead of asking "Should I do this or that?" It would be better for an open ended question perhaps in the format "I'm having trouble defeating ___ in Kingdom Hearts 2 what should I do?" Then again we do have the internet and the questions will really only benefit a singular viewer. Whether or not you decide to scrap pro strats or modify it is up to you guys. Much L&amp;R can't wait for the next podcast :)

Anonymous

Ian needs to be in a green screen booth of some kind, so every time Ian camera switches to himself he’s on the beach or in outer space, or yharnam...

Anonymous

The Jones bit is a joke. This is pre-written. Meaning, Kyle created this originally - and it bombed. So now he’s making fun of it, by doing a skit with him and Jones going back and forth. Jones isn’t actually confused, and Kyle isn’t actually upset. This is apart of the skit. Basically Kyle saw how hard it bombed. So he’s killing the segment with self-deprecating humor.

Anonymous

On the whole steam vs epic store debate. While I think this isn't the case for Metro. The epic store also removes the royalty fee for games made with Unreal and Unity. Which adds another 5% revenue.

Anonymous

Does the pro strats segment spark joy?

Anonymous

Super fun and entertaining game, I didn't want it to end! I look forward to another installment in the future. Love &amp; Respect!
