Great review damiani. I dont mind the style of the story (the outsider narrator was used masterfully in ace combat 04) but it definitely is paced weirdly, and there are lots of small plot threads that never seem to pay off at all. In terms of gameplay my only real issue is that ally ai seems to be far worse than previous entries, making the game oddly difficult at points. But its a tremendous thrillride that everyone should try, especially those with the ability and stomach for vr. Really great return to form for the series.

Am I just missing it or does this video not have the usual "written by" and "video edited by" stamps on it?

Also to add, while the story is self contained, theres a huge amount if fanservice to the story of ace combat 04, snd some for 5 as well. I was very happy with that.

Don’t sleep on Ace Combat 7. I am pleasantly surprised with how good it is.

Could this be my first ace combat?

I‘m fine with the overall review, but I think the VR mode would have deserved at least a mention for consumer information purposes. Damiani probably doesn‘t have a headset and gets VR sick easily if I remember correctly, but it still is a part of the game. No big deal, but maybe it‘s something to keep in mind for future reviews.

I adore this game!

thanks for the review. Only wish Damiani was able to play the VR and give his opinion on that too, but that's cool since he gets sick from it easily. The VR for me was amazing.

Refusing to invest in that game cos all the footage is giving me Battlefield One vibes. It may seem entertaining to have nailed a moving target straight between the eyes from half a mile a way – shooting from the hip, no less – but once you find yourself having done that the third time inside ten minutes, all credibility evaporates.

Great review. Thank you

Agreed with Andreas, I was hoping for a VR review but other than that it was good as always.

I mean, it's supposed to be satisfying to blow a ton of shit up in a fighter jet with a ridiculous amount of missiles
