I am honestly super unhappy with Ronda Rousey in MK11 being marketed so much. She's a Sandy Hook denier, thinks 9/11 is an inside job, beat her boyfriend... and on top of that it's not like she's an amazing (voice) actress. I don't know why they cast her other than to draw up publicity and it does not encourage me to support the game. I know when Rurouni Kenshin came up there was a big discussion about hating the artist but allowing the art but that doesn't mean this isn't a bad look and something I find an unnecessary speedbump in a game I want to buy and play.

About the Indie Developer question - I'm an indie developer myself and honestly, the best course of action is to make a demo of your game in your spare time while still keeping your job. Once you get a good demo of your game, contact indie publishers or shoot for a kickstarter. Leaving your job is a level of risk you don't have to take. If you really want to make games, you can find ways to work on your game as well as manage your fulltime job. It's tough, but it's the best way to make progress and not fear for your stability. Charlie is pretty spot on in the Dev question. I'm an Environment Artist at Defiant (Hand of Fate 2). Game dev is a massive task and a lot of people don't realise just how much goes in to making a game. It's a ton of fun but do it on the side until your skills are up to par. Also just because you like playing games, wont automatically mean you like making games. I'd download Unreal or Unity and run through a whole bunch of tutes to get a feel for it.

Guys, this remains my favorite podcast, and I look forward to listening to it every single week...but you need to kill Pro Strats. Recruit me was a home run, but this one is a strike out. With the negative out of the way, I want to say I completely agree with Huber about chasing dreams. Go for it! Yes, responsibly (do your homework, it's your livelihood on the line, after all)...but if it's really your dream, you'll do what you can to make a real go at it. Failure is nothing to be ashamed of, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Thanks for picking my question. The Hbomb stream came at a really good time for me personally. I recently felt forced to stop running from myself and confront my own gender identity. There's a lot of anti trans stuff on the internet and in society at large. It's impossible to not have that stuff affect you, and that infection made it so difficult for me to admit who I really was. I'm so thankful for that outpouring of support and love over the weekend, and I'm thankful to EZA for providing the kind of community where I can say these things and not fear backlash.

Pro strats only has a lot of potential, to me it seems even more promising than Recruit Me. That said, the last two could have been better. Takes some time to settle into it I guess!

Pro Strats Only Please sucks. It's not funny, and it's not funny in an ironic way either. However I do appreciate the effort in doing different segments/bits. And I say this with the sincerest Love and Respect. This is my favourite podcast.

I've been thinking about the opening podcast segments, what makes some good and some bad. "And for that reason" and "Recruit Me" were not only good because it let patreons be creative, but the responses from you were more genuine. The critique of a game idea or just the raw dislike of a level 1 slime was real compared to what "Pro Strats Only Please" is offering. I do think the "Pro Strats Only Please" segment could work if you got rid of "Should I OPTION 1 or OPTION 2". Restricting your (the panels) ability to improvise a solution kills it. Coming up with the name of the game, where we're stuck and why we're stuck is enough for me.

This! Totally agree with you on the pro strats argument that it isn't as funny as past segments because there are so much restrictions and responses from the panel aren't genuine by design. IMO it either needs to be reworked for more freedom on both sides or replaced by something new .

You guys you guys you guys you guys...... What if they treated the multiple protagonists of the avengers like the multiple protagonists of GTAV? Certain missions can have a small roster like Damiani said but you can also do the hot switching between characters! Never gonna happen but I just found myself dreaming and had to share. Haha

Correction: Final Smash meters aren’t used in competitive play for numerous different reasons. Primarily, the final smashes themselves are not deemed balanced for competitive play, with some being grossly overpowered compared to others (Zelda, Peach, Marth, etc.)

I can totally relate to the Jones rant about the "too much Star Wars" gripes. For some reason, people complain whenever there is a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie and can't wait for the series to die off. As a huge pirate fan who feels the genre is way under saturated, I say keep them coming! It's the only real chance to see swashbuckling on the big screen. Even if the new movies aren't as good as the first trilogy, why would you rather have no pirate movies instead? It just seems weirdly spiteful.

TBH @Kyle I like the IDEA of "Pro Strats Only" but in practice it has not panned out. I know you need to strike the right balance of good but not too good so as to get balanced participation for Patreon involvement. But Shoot this one behind the chemical shed. Also side note. I am glad you give the chance for some bits to become bites. The Recruit Me special was pretty grand. A bit silly but pretty entertaining. THe "And for that reason" special however left a bad taste in my mouth. I did not like the OVER produced Cheesey show vibes. AFTR was better in the semi -serious setting of the podcast vs its own fake show. Just my 8 cents.

I'm hoping the transgender "charity" they were raising money for was to get these people the help and therapy that they need. Unfortunately, you never really know what your money is going to with these things.

I’m sorry you feel that way. Do you personally know anyone who is transgender or LGBTQIA? Have you personally spoken with anyone who has been through conversion therapy or something similar? I mean utmost L&R, I just want to understand your viewpoint as a member of the community
