*NOTE: Due to ongoing export issues with the laptop we cut the Easy Allies Podcast on, the video version of the podcast will be coming in later tonight. We apologize for this happening again, but it will not be an issue going forward once we're moved into the new studio.

Bungie is going independent, taking Destiny with them, and Activision seems cool with it. This year is off to a weird start for sure.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

Never trust a laptop :P

The division is on the epic store

Yui

I am too excited and will need to settle for the audio version. It's all good Allies. :)

EA does it again. They should let Josef Fares make the next Star Wars game.

Dennis M.

Sigh. Not sure how the studio will fix this issue, but I'm crossing my fingers.

All those development videos are gonna be cringier on hindsight.

Anonymous

My guess is they will use studio equipment rather than Jones' laptop.

Hey just want to say not a fan of the new intro game. Falls flat.

Anonymous

Totally understandable. It just gives me a reason to go through it twice.

I am ashamed of my words and deeds :/

EA was given the go ahead to print money with Star Wars a movie series that you could make a game of pretty much any genre and as long as you try can be good. They made 2 shooters and a mobile game... I still remember when they made a Final Fantasy X clone with the Lord of the Rings IP.

One more time for old-time's sake! L&R This really is the most convenient time of the day to be watching the podcast. I really hope you're right about the studio workflow, Jones, but I know you are too.

You should use a pc for exporting not a laptop

correction (kindof): Jones at some point said that dark souls sells really well; it actually doesn't put up crazy numbers. Bandai Namco revealed Dark Souls 3 sold 3 million copies in its first several months on the market. That's not bad, but it doesn't really answer the question of why Activision would snipe From given their standards for 'success' are so high. I've always assumed it's just a PR move for Activision, kind of like EA's Originals program.

Cant believe I'm saying this but: I miss the old EA (Harry Potter/IP heaven era)

Tastes I guess. While I think Pro Strats Only isn't as good as podcast goals, it's at least not as long and exclusively for a very special group of the audience, like Recruit Me was. I guess it's up to good suggestions and creative solutions to make or work or not. In the end, I'm fine with it going away for something else, as long as Recruit Me stays on cooldown.

The Scrappy Little Pigs have next weeks bet in the bag. For reference: The older Ace Combat games started you with 50-70 missiles and the more recent ones start you with around 200.

Hoeg did a really good breakdown on how the contract between Bungie and Activision was structured on Virtual Legality. Bungie had an agreement already structured going in that they wholy owned Destiny going in, so it cost Bungie nothing to retain the Destiny brand. Also Belluar Gaming made it clear to me now that Activision Blizzard is a different company that owns Activision and Blizzard individually. Just like how Alphabet owns Google, Nest and Waze as a holding company. That changed my whole perspective on how this company works. Blizzard is it's own company, Activision is it's own company. Both answer to Activision Blizzard

Not that I mind much, but I bet this is gonna happen again at least once again after you guys get the studio lol

Its been 5 hours :( im about to sleep :( sad :(

I think Pro Strats Only is really dependent on which submission Kyle goes with, some of ideas are just so wacky and it doesn't seem like the panel has enough to improv with.

Anonymous

I feel like if the questions were more open ended rather than being a this or that choice, there would be more opportunity for comedy

Anonymous

Going to throw in my opinion of not liking Pro Strats Only. Still missing goals honestly.

Christopher Peterson

When Kyle was reading the Press Release I was really hoping someone would say. “Press release me.”

I totally get the early access to to the podcast for $5 and up patrons...but why does this audio version NEVER get released to $4 and under patrons, even after the video version is?

EasyAllies

The audio version has its own podcast feed that you can access via SoundCloud, iTunes, etc. It's only reason for being uploaded to Patreon is for Early Access. -Bloodworth

For what it is I'd say that 3 mil in 3 months is pretty crazy, even
