as someone who does not do horror games(espically anything psychological, hellblade etc) i'm hoping for a full play through of evil within 2 at some point. still have those memories of dead space.

One glaring omission from the video: Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. Not only was the game fun, but the sanity effects were really cool. Still remember the 'deleting save file' sanity effect and initially freaking out that I lost my save file. Real shame that there wasn't a sequel. Really glad that Condemned got a mention

I love love love Alan Wake. I have a list of games that I replay every year. The list is quite short (the original DOOM being one of them), but Alan Wake is there as well. Unfortunately I already replayed it in March, but I am doing the right thing now: finally playing The Evil Within and then The Evil Within 2. L&R!

Great episode... I love games that use things like tonality, environment and sound to manipulate the players experience; the results are often intense or harrowing gameplay, which makes playing the game so fun....and exhausting. This is nicely represented in the Resident Evil series (1,2,4,7), All the "souls" games (especially Blood Bourne), and of course DEAD SPACE (particularly 1 & 2). Also I too loved the Evil Within (I adore Shinji Mikami), and I am super pumped for The Evil Within 2, and ready for a mind shattering horror game experience.... Oh...I should also mention The Shining is also my favorite horror film of all time too...and is just a fantastic movie.
