I have been trying to hike this same canyon in the mountains just outside Los Angeles as many times as I can make time to as spring gives way to summer, so i can watch the changes that take place as the seasons change (If you have been following my work for a long time you might have noticed that I have been shooting in this secret spot for 4 years now actually).  Since Cacia Zoo has been in LA for over a month and a half, we have gotten to go up into the mountains on several occasions. 

This set is from the second time this spring I got up on this trail during warm weather this year.  The water in the creek was still really high, and the grasses still alive from winter rains.  Cacia and I had been in dire need of getting out of the city, so we were like kids in a candy store - laying around naked sunning our junk, looking for newts, hopping from rock to rock down the creek, and swimming in the many shallow pools in the creek. We didn't get off the trail until the sun was starting to set, tired, hungry, and totally happy.
